Explain that? I posted up the Gears of War 2 Column from XboxFocus.com. It was approved, reached 800 degrees, and then it was taken off and "failed approval" with no reason. The only report I got was because it was "lame" in the opinion of one member.

Looks like its another victim of the damage control "pressure" some people have been doing recently, I guess it was not enough the swarm of PM to users to fail or approve certain stories or the PM to administrator to approve certain new that many times didn't really fallow the rules along may other thing people do this days when certain news articles don't fit their agenda or want to get away posting something the shouldn't

but don't worry if you don't like a story even it fallows the rules if you complain enough or PM the key person it will be taken down or you might get something approved that shouldn't be...its the new N4G way! :D

Now that we have more people who help monitor the news, there will also be a difference in opinion between us about which stories to fail. This GoW 2 story was obviously written to get hits, and I can see why some of our mods/admins would fail it. Still, most articles on the net are written soley to get hits, and xboxfocus.com seems like a decent Xbox site, so I have restored the story.

Doesn't http://www.n4g.com/NewsPending-137721.aspx break a few of the guidelines?

(There's no real summary, it has first-person language and the quote that it starts with is not credited to either the source or the person who actualy said it in the original article. Also, the sentence "Here's five reasons why." is an awkard referral to itself and not the linked article/source. Seems pretty justified to have been pulled, regardless of the temperature.)
