For me the memories of playing Saga Frontier 1 and 2 completely trump those of any of the Final Fantasy Games Saga Frontier This is interesting because it takes place in an alternate world where humans travel through space, science and magic are common, yet many people still live in small towns in happy little wooden houses, even vampires are roaming around as you fight magicians, mobsters, space monsters, robots and all sorts of crazy enemies. The difficulty of the game ranges from easy to impressively difficult. It is also different because the storyline takes place through one time frame but you experience the game multiple times as different characters who each individual stories intertwine with each other. Wizards, warriors, biological experiments, heck you can even be a robot who can steal other parts or bodies from other robots if he wants to. Many different themes through the game, sometimes the game is quirky and silly like earthbound, running around dressed in a bunny girl outfit, fighting vampires in a dark magical castle. Or it can be very dramatic like other square-enix games, such as dueling your brother to the death to so you can absorb his soul and make yourself more powerful and complete your destiny. Saga Frontier 2 This one is kind of different from the first one, It takes place through three generations, spanning a large timeframe, you see characters live, grow and die. It has a very dramatic storyline which in a lot of ways reminds me of final fantasy tactics, lots of politic intrigue, betrayal, romance, victory and defeat. With even some nifty little minigames thrown in, it is a very unique journey, i think it is one of my favorite game stories of all time. The game is not as challenging as the first but the unique and beautiful art style, it is like a hand drawn painting the entire time, and the great story is super.
