If they do make the PS3 slim, it would obviously weigh less but would it cause it to have setbacks to it? Who knows. And read below.

well when they decrease the die size ont he cell it will obviously gneerate less heat and require less power so im assuming yes. they will

It will probably have its psu outside the case, so it might be less portable than the current model.

Good point. That's what Nintendo always does and it's a pain in the ass. The Cube looked like most portable system ever, but it had that giant power brick you had to haul around all the time. If they would have built that into the machine it would have been bigger than a PS2.

I have one of those PS1 minis and the power brick is actually pretty small. You can fold the prongs in when you're transporting it.

Well technically speaking it will be more energy efficient, but it won't be actually better.
