Inbox indicator on forums - Jun.-16th-2008 10:43:44

When you are on the main site and you have a PM, the "PM Inbox" menu-option on the right is red. When you are logged in the forums however, the "Inbox" option in the top-menu does not have this same feature. Is there a way to get this?

why is there even a "pop up when you get a private message" option in people's profiles?

And the "E-Mail notification of PM's" doesn't work either.

Another reason this would be a good idea is I sent a mod a PM about a problem a 6 hours ago but they never bothered to respond, better notifications would result in speedier responses and less missed PMs.
