Insane MotorStorm 2 Split-screen footage: I'm sold - May-11th-2008 12:13:12

Status: offline 		I didn't like the first MotorStorm 2 gameplay footage I saw back during GD. Then came the direct feed tech demo / diary and I kinda liked it but this video of split-screen...

I'm sold. For a 40 percent complete game, this level of graphics with such frame-rate in split-screen is BEYOND perfection. THIS is the MotorStorm 2 I wanted to see.
Why hasn't Sony released it for other sites is beyond me.

the split screen has def sold me on this game.  not being able to race a friend on the couch disappointed me in the first.

Split-screen is a MUST for me because I never play online and the only time I play multi player, it's fighting or racing games that have split-screen. I want to have my opponent / friend sitting next to me dammit!

I hope that add more destructablity to cars. I want to see bikes and smaller cars crushed by Monster and other heavy ones.

The site has also some Killzone 2 footage but that's still disappointing IMO.

Of all 4 part 2s that were shown in recent days (MS' Gears 2 and Sony's KZ2, MS2 and Resistance 2), MotorStorm 2 is the only one that I'm no longer disappointed in.

Status: online 		Dude if I didn't know any better (operative phrase here) I'd say that was the track featured in the demo from the first game reskinned with jungle assets. In any case I'm actually intrigued now, I was going to stay away from footage of this game until the final was near, but now I'll be checking to see how they progress.

I mean, I knew it would turn out awesome, but I've just been dying to see some nice footage from this game, I like having something to look forward to.

My biggest gripe with Motorstorm 1 was the lack of split-screen. What a waste...

EDIT: They need to turn up the gravity, it's like they're racing on the moon

Scale is amazing
Looks fun as hell
SPLIT SCREEN!
and hopefully less loading times.

This game is for sure a most buy.

On a side note....is n4g...acting a little slow for anyone?

totally agree.  like scoutzknivez in CS.  shot in the dark reference but maybe some of ya's would know that great map

Status: offline 		Colour me not that impressed. I'm hoping that they improve the texture quality. I dunno, some of the level textures reminded me of the jungle levels on "The 3D Game Maker". Dark times. Dark times indeed.

Disappointment my friend is an understatement. MS was the first racing game i played without split screen. I was in shock. I just couldn't believe it. The footage looks nice, i noticed some pop up frame rate could be better imo. I am loving the new vegetation and the racing looks like it will be fun once again. The environment in this one makes the game 3 times better than the first. Kudos to evolution studios it looks like they have a winner. Its either this or burnout that will win racer of the yr. Gameplay in MS is more fun than burnout imo but the open world racing and the smooth online transition really makes burnout stand out. Burnout will be hard to beat for racer of the yr but this is the only title i see being able to do that
