Im playing Gears Of War2 and i've lost my rank for the 2nd time...
 
I was a rank 60 just about to hit 61 when it happened the 1st time,instead of glitching my rank back i decided to stay genuine and not cheat...
 
I got back to rank 59 in 4 weeks and it has just happened again...
 
IM SO P**SED OFF!!
 
Has this happened to anyone else?
Did u manage to get your rank back?
if yes-how?
Does any1 know the rank Glitch coz screw doin it al over again..?
 
If u know anything pls reply......

Nah, seriously, it may be a glitch on the servers or something. Check out Epic's forums and see if someone else has the same problem as you do

Nah, seriously, it may be a glitch on the servers or something. Check out Epic's forums and see if someone else has the same problem as you do

Yes this is a glitch that was introduced with the new ranking system. The problem is that epic stores the rank information on the HD instead of on a server ala cod so in some cases the data becomes corrupted and you are forced to start form 1. Some reasons for the corruption include playing with your account on an xbox that does not have the latest gears update and some have also said that it happens form just playing offline locally. also if you ever turn off your box during a loading screen it is just asking for trouble.

The kicker to it all is that it is a widespread problem and people have reported it happening with none of the scenarios I listed above but when an epic developer finally commented on it (joegraf) he stated that it was user error and that they "can't fix an error the user makes". It's a bunch of bs and I'm sorry but no there is no way to recover your rank. Gears of war 2 had so much potential and since epic let M$ rush it out the door we the consumer get the shaft with a broken product. Epic has been trying to fix the game through TU's but after 5 TU's and a whole year it is apparent that this game is destined to be a lag/glitch/host advantage riddled game.

I would not waste my time going to the epic forums and compplaing as they never post there unless it's to brag about the last award they won or the next update that is going to try and fix the game. Also the place is filled with trolls and fantards so you'll either get troll support or bashed by the fanboys who claim epic can do no wrong.

Thanku.........it was long but vey helpful......its such a shame coz Gears is the only game ive ever learned to play mite have to go back to the Wii........lol.......  na fuk dat.......any1 played the left fo dead demo...?xx
