solar X12Celtics3 solar the best part about the first UC was its art direction. which is why im suspect to all the praise UC2 has gotten. I can't tell if this post is serious or sarcastic, but if it is serious would you care to elaborate? it was serious. what in UC1 has pushed the genre? nothing i could tell by playing it. what has UC2 done to push the genre? i wont be able to make a judgment til i get to play the game for myself (hopefully i can get my hands on it tomorrow). sure, story telling, cut scenes, and animation are great things to immerse you into the game, but im more focused on game play. i want something that pushes the genre to new heights. not a rehash of we have already played. im sure UC2 will be a great game, but i want innovation. i want developers to take chances. which doesnt happen on consoles as much as i like. Uncharted 2 will be no more or less original than just about every console game that has been a commercial success thus far. Basically, everything in the game is done superbly (from what I've heard and seen) and the overall package will be very good. I would rather play a game that does everything very well but is not very original than a game with an amazing original concept that falls short in many important parts of the game. I hope that you end up enjoying the game when you buy it, though.

If you "rebought uncharted again" doesn't that mean you have bought it three times now?

I bet your a fan of motion controls... Innovation can damper the gaming experience if not performed well. Ive seen many games that focus on innovation rather than producing a fun or enjoyable game. *cough* motion control *cough* When Devs try to make an innovative game instead of making game that has innovation will usually suck. Hope that makes sense. Great Game with little innovation > Game with innovation Most of the time games will suffer because they focus on their innovation/gimmick.

X12Celtics3 I don't think that the reason he is enjoying the game is important... I'd love it if I could enjoy a game just because somebody tells me to. Also, 'rebuying' something again is probably a bit redundant, no? Unless you are saying that this is the third copy that you bought... Wouldn't that be a tautology?

This game must be bought for your PS3, no matter what; it is what the PS3 was built for.
and another thing..... ...you kept reading!...

Solar, it depends on how you look at it. Uncharted 1 had all of the elements that make a thrilling, immersive experience. And yes those are all aesthetic, but without those elements almost every shooter would be no different from a lightgun game where you shoot at coloured squares. I think Uncharted brings something unique in terms of its characters and storytelling. We know that the actual gameplay will revolve around shooting guys in the head, we've been doing that for years. Would adding a gimmick really improve the game?

What is this in aid of....? Both games are truly great. When developers create games that are unique and original....guess what?....nobody buys them, and they become cult classics!!! I am just happy the PS3 is finally spreading its wings and actually...maybe, just maybe doin stuff other consoles may not be able to emulate at the same level. Go buy both games and play both.....if only for continuities sake. C'mon???

Back when Mass Effect came out I played about 5 hours and said to myself "ok, I get it. I'm done." Since then I've purchased it again and recently started playing it. I can't believe I ever sold it. It's truly one of the most amazing games I've ever played. Everything about it screams AWESOME!!!!!!!

Exactly, IMO this is what happened to Halo and Call Of Duty 4. Cant say the same thing about me, first time i played Uncharted i read no review, knew pretty much nothing, first playthrough i loved it, amazing. Had to play through it again right away!
