I am very impressed with this game. I never thought a side scroller would make it on the ps3. I learned that its not always about graphics that make a game a hit. Its about gameplay and making the player feel immersed. A feeling like they are actually playing out the role of the main character. You can have great looking games like GTA 4 but there will always be a place for the simplistic type too.

Definitely true about gameplay making something a hit. Old school platforming is my favourite genre in general.

Mega Man 9 better hit PSN soon.

Sorry for the double post but I made it sound like the graphics were bad. They are very good in my book. Great gun animations, explosions etc. Everything is awesome about this game. Now if I could find a Bionic Arm on eBay........ Peace and Thanks for reading!! If you have any ?'s on the game feel free to ask too!!

The game is semi broken, with the terrible controls from back to the nes era. There have been much better swinging games (wik, and eden, possibly include spiderman 2). I'm surprised about the game scores, because it has seroiusly outdated gameplay.

Mega Man 9 is going to be pure NES platforming. It will have new bosses, areas, and enemies (and it should run a lot better, since it's on PS3/360/Wii and not NES). It is an official sequel and "new" game, yet it is completely retro style. It's a "new old game." And it's fücking hard, just like the older titles (if not harder).

I don't agree with you. I don't think it is broken at all, it's simply a remake with the same mechanics and updated graphics. However, I personally am not a fan of the game. But I was never a fan of the original Bionic Commando game either. I prefer jump-platformers to swinging; I played the demo for this and the gameplay wasn't my platforming cup of tea. I'm sure it's great for people who like the swinging element, though.

Man...I was far too young when the NES was out, I barely remember much, but I recall playing a lot of my favourite platformers on both the NES and SNES (SNES memories are not surprisingly more vivid). Emulators just aren't the same...I want Mega Man 9 to hit soon.

Eh, you should be able to swing from 360 degrees of freedom, instead of 45 degrees. That is my first complaint.

Its not hard if you know the controls. It got a good rating because.......well it is good!!! But its all in your personal opinion. They went with the same gameplay because it does what its supposed to do. And its a PSN game for gods sake. Its flippin 13.xx with tax. What do you expect. There is a new Bionic Comando coming out at http://www.gametrailers.com/player/38596.html So if you want to check it out. It looks like it could be a decent game.

LOL, that's what I said when it was first brought to my attention. I mean, playing the old games is great, using emulators works, but to have a NEW retro game on PSN, with the DualShock and running smoothly (without NES and emulator glitches, frame drops, etc)...is amazing. And I'm splitting it between 3 friends, so it's literally $3.30 (9.99 full price, which is very fair).

yeah i got the game the other day im a big fan of platformers too, this is an excellent game quite difficult in places but mostly its about timing with the arm.

I have to agree with some other posters about not liking the game. It's great they decided to bring back a classic game, but they should of done more with it. I think that if they added a jump button in the game most people would of liked it more. I think the reason they didn't have jump back in the original game was that the NES only had 2 buttons, but the PS3 has ...like....more!

True that, I found it quite annoying just using your gun to grab something and it will take you to where you shooted at.

Never the less it's still an awesome game
