I am creating this thread mainly for anyone and everyone who has loved playing KILLZONE, KILLZONE:Liberation, and are eagerly awaiting KILLLZONE 2.  I would like to keep it going as an ongoing "catch-all" for all things KILLZONE related.

Once the next edition drops we can use it to link up clans, set up matches, tell war stories from past, present, and future, and share / create strategies.

I'd like to hear from you guys that played KILLZONE online and what you loved about it and drew you back for more from levels to weapons, as well as, Liberation and all of its fun.  Also if you hear any juicy new tidbits you can share them here during / before launching the new thread.  I'm aware that there are some people that really want to flame about the game(s), but please keep it civil and criticisms based in reality.  I've already had one thread locked today and don't want to go through it again.

*Let's lock & load gentlemen.

Killzone was pretty good but, there were some huge glitches and the shooting didn't feel right. But I am eagerly awaiting Killzone 2 because the gameplay looks like COD4's and that's a really good thing.

Cool Whoooop.  Since you're already on my amigos list we'll clan up and get going together with the rest of the crew once they start pouring in.  I'm not sure what we're going to call the next clan as CLERIC, PIC's, and SFII were my old tags and crew members, but I think it's time to officially announce the formulation of the

N4G KILLZONE II clan.  That's how we roll.  (If someone already announced this - apologies).

haha...  yeah  I plan to play online a lot.. Looks great.

I hope they add co-op at some point, because I've never played co-op in a FPS and I would love to do it in KZ2

I havent played any of the Killzones.

But, i have a question for you...

...would you still be pumped for KZ2 if it didnt have the amazing graphics? Would you still be as pumped as you are now, if it looked like your average game, or at least Cod4?

The single player glitches were bad in KZ, but when you are saying glitches...do you mean shooting cheats (like in mp) or real glitches like the infinite sprint or orange scope glitch?

What did you not like about the shooting TwissT?

I played KILLZONE 1 like I play WarHawk 2 on the PS3.  I haven't seen you online Breakfast, but you can ask some people around who know me how I play WarHawk.

And yes...since I was a die-hard KZ1 fan, I'm super pumped for KZ2.  Even if it looked the same I would still buy it for new levels, weapons, story, etc.  It's not all about looks for me.

The question wasn't for me, but I'm going to answer it....

I'm personally pumped because of the visuals. I've said in the open many times, I'm graphic whore....  So, visuals are the main reason why I'm pumped, also the animations, the destructable environments, the hot orage bullet marks in the concrete, the smoke, the particles, the debris, the atmosphere and the gameplay which isn't revolutionary, but looks decent so far.

The first person camera troughout the whole game, even while in cut-scenes. The first person cover, the character dirty language.  The blood spreading on the floor.

There's so much that has me pumped about this game, it's crazy... Mad craaazyyy

:)

Both were good, but Killzone Liberation is a GREAT PSP title.

Well I feel the same affection for both strangely enough Harry, but you are absolutely correct.  Liberation has gotten me through countless airport layovers and bumby plane rides.  One of the premiere titles on the PSP imho.

Well, I have only played Killzone: Liberation so far. It is a great psp game, due to the fact, you had buddy A.I., challenging difficulty, bosses, and pretty solid online mode.

I want to Killzone 2 to address all it's faults in the prequel: pacing, A.I., Controls, Framerate, Glitches and it should be on it's way to greatness.

I do not know, I was playing split screen with my friend the other day and I just couldn't understand why I wasn't comfortable with the shooting. Too much recoil? inaccuracy? I can't put my finger on it.

What drew you in, to like killzone 1, so much?

And why do i suck at WarHawk so much?

Great question Breakfast.  Oddly enough I and my buddies were H _ U _ G _ E  Red Faction 1 & 2 fans and played that game endlessly.  I loved Timeplsitters too, but what drew me to KILLZONE given the fact that I only owned PlayStations at the time was the grainy film look of the advertisements on TV.  When we saw that we were like whoa, that game looks really dark and bloody, and sure enough it was.  I played HALO at the time too along with my buddies on their XBOX's and we would always find ourselves playing KZ as well.  Of course when I went home I was all over it and it just grew into an obsession.  All of my buddies PlayStation and XBOX owners alike played the hell out of it and to this day we cannot wait for the return.  That's why I take things I see on some of th baords with a grain of salt, because I know not everyone has such extreme views...(like I really needed to say that).

Why do stink at WarHawk?  I don't know Breakfast.  I would need to see you play and help you out first which I would gladly do if I weren't working like a bastard right now (I should be working on several reports right now ) but until that time, I would just ask what kind of games did you grow up playing?  For me it was flight sims from Top Gun on the NES, to all the Desert Strikes from EA, Herzog Zwei on the Genesis, WarHawk on the PSOne, Racing games, Ace Combats and countless other games of those genres that I was most interested in.  I honeslty think thats why I love WarHawk 2 so much now.  It blends a lot of them together in a very, very fun & stylish way.

Yeah dude you're exactly right on.  There is a **** load of recoil which in turn makes shooting with the ISA assault rifle innacurate as hell.  Call me crazy but I love that kind of stuff.  To me it's like running around behind the cameraman from Saving Private Ryan.  Total chaos and erratic situations that come together to create the theater of battle.  I guess you love it or hate it and I think you can tell from zeal how I feel about it
The one thing that bothers me about KZ2 is that it looks almost too polished and slick.  I want it to be erratic and crazy, even a little grainy.  I wish they would give that to you as a filter option.

Lolz. Just bought Killzone 1 yesterday. I saw it in the used bin in my local Gamestop for $8 so it was hard to pass by. Great game and story, the glitches ruined it though. But anyway, I loved the cover and pop-out shooting from Liberation and besides KZ2 graphics, that's the one I'm really looking forward to with KZ2/
