Skyfall

8/10

It didn't really have an official Bond girl.
The final big action scene isn't as great as the beginning.

The rest was great.  Probably the best fan service of all the Daniel Craig films.

Melancholia  7/10

Big fan of Lars Von Trier (Dancer in the dark is one of my favorite movies of all time) but this one just felt OK.

Detachment  7.5/10

So down to earth and fearless. I wished though, that it focused exclusively on the classroom of kids, instead of that one fat girl and the street hooker.

Pulp Fiction  9/10

Finally got around to seeing it. Awesome.

The Amazing Spider-man  8/10

Liked it better than Spider-man 1 (original). Didn't except it to be better but I was surprised.

It was too bad, of all the horror movies that came out in America since The Ring it had one of the better atmospheres but it wasn't scary for me. But it was still leaps and bounds over Paranormal Activity. It's a decent watch but usually paranormal stuff doesn't spook me. Oh and another decent movie that I don't think gets enough credit is Hide and Seek but it's more of a psychological  thriller.

2.5/10

The very notion that this was hyped at all is unthinkable after sitting through this.  With Green Lantern being my favorite comic book hero as a kid (well...technically the one on JL cartoons) this is probably the most disappointing blockbuster I've ever watched

I don't have any 'hate' towards the films, just felt generally indifferent to them.

Captain America has some good fight scenes, but effects to push 3-D into the picture (the way I watched it in theaters) felt forced.  And it just...didn't feel too often like a superhero movie.  Most of the tension burnt out for me around the half way point, but then rekindled at the very end.

As for Iron Man 2:  Naturally, wind was kicked out of its sails for not being as fresh as the first one.  Beyond that, the screenplay was being constantly weighed down by the 'join the Avengers' sub-plot and just became a bore after a while.
