Einstein's teachers told him he was retarded in elementary school. He only learned how to speak at like, age 3.

My vote goeas to this being a fake to get hits. Not because I'm jealous, but I'm thinking of the politics and the system behind it. In any educational system I've ever been in, you weren't allowed to skip grades. It just doesn't work out.

If this kid isn't a fake, I give him 7 years to get burnt out.  I was in Gifted 'till I dropped highschool (There's a good example right there.) and I've seen plenty of people that weren't nearly that smart burn out alot earlier than that.

Oh, and Dr. Pirate, I had friends that skipped grades.  One of them skipped up two grades.  They do allow it in some educational systems.

Is that the kid that is working on the cure for aids?  I remember seeing a news story on a kid about that age, in college that was trying to help figure out how to cure aids.  Now THAT'S a  prodigy.

I would not want a kid like that... he's just too "perfect."

I want a son that I show how to throw a football, plays sports, and... well... acts his age.

And I thought I grew up too fast... this kid doesn't have a childhood... he's living an adult life at 10... WTF!?

Hahahahaha... you don't stop being 'gifted' just because you drop out of highschool. Many gifted kids drop out because they get frustrated with the confining aspects of what highschool shows them or their tallents aren't academically orientated.

I'm very sure there's an aspect in you life you really excel in.

I'm not saying  I stopped being gifted.  If I was saying that, I obviously wouldn't be smart enough to be gifted. =P
I wasn't exactly using myself as a 'burnt-out' example either.  More of a 'went wild' example. (But I guess I should have explained that better - I quit because I was pregnant.)  I was just using my experience of seeing so many 'gifted' people get burnt out as an example.

(I'm not grouching at you Tempist, your reply just made me think that maybe I should clarify what I was saying a little bit better.^_^)

Some people just enjoy learning and studying. What "Burns out" others brings joy and excitement for some.
