Lips is obviously MS's sordid attempt to woo the casual gamer. MS seem a bit confused at the moment, Surely they could fix the systems failure problems and stop trying to steal Nintendo consumers, even I would return to the 360 if that were to happen!
Sony have pretty much personified this genre with Singstar....MS should have spent some dollars on R&D and leave the Wii family market alone. When are MS gonna realise the Wii market although huge, is of no threat to either themselves or Sony.
Most people who buy Sony or MS know what they want, with some exceptions, most are hardcore gamers who have upgraded from the last gen, who were, and still are hardcore.
Atleast Sony have recently gone on record for stating Wii, nor MS are the real competitors, but entertainment as a whole. A much broader vision than MS who seem to just want to rule the videogames industry.
I believe the software currently available on 360 easily edges both the PS3 and Wii output in a general sense, but in my humble opinion growth is very limited on 360. It's a Racers, FPS hub...it's clear MS will not win over the casual gamer it so badly desires. Unfortunately for MS, they marketed the original Xbox as the no.1 console for FPS, and that still resonates with joe & jane public.
Thank Nintendo for that!
NOTE: This is just an opinion, and not a fanboy equivalent of a wet dream. A similar argument can be applied to Sony in some cases...
