Status: offline 		Okay, honestly.  Where is the patch for MGS4 to bring in the trophies?  Wasn't there talk about how Konami was urging Sony to bring out the update early so that their game could have trophies but then Sony released it a little after so that didn't happen.  Now it is August 10th people.  Where are the MGS4 trophies?

I have been putting off going for the Big Boss emblem for so long because I want to acquire the appropriate trophies for my work but that has not happen.  Does anyone know that status of the trophy situation?

It was all rumor and speculation. Big boss extreme isn't that hard... if i had to do it again i would. But i don't really see myself doing it in the name of trophies though...but you never know. Uncharted trophies were sort of nice to get

Status: online 		I've been putting off the BBE run as well so I can get the trophy for it if it occurs.  Are the game saves for MGS4 locked?  If they are they should be retroactive.  I'd just like to see MGS4 get trophies since the emblems are already trophies in essence.

i only want trophies for my favorite games. i'm not going out of my way to get as many as i can or to level up.

Status: online 		Same here, but for MGS4 I'd love them.  I'm playing uncharted for them as well but I can say I wouldn't replay resistence for them.

Status: offline 		Yea but i hope they don't do a direct conversion of the emblems into trophies. Big boss extreme could be the platinum trophy though. And they can take a lot of emblem stuff as trophies but a lot of the emblems require a lot of work so would be nice if it wasn't just the emblems. Some trophies need to be simple...like complete a level without being seen. XXX amount of headshots. XX consecutive shocks with MK2. Bla bla

The MGS4 emblems are designed to show up after you complete the game. Trophies should be designed to show up after you complete the act so so i don't think a direct conversion would work

Status: offline 		yeah, a direct conversion would be pretty hard to do, unlike Uncharted.
i'm pretty sure they're working on it as we speak though. hopefully it's available soon.

Status: offline 		Dude seriously don't hold out for trophies, waste of time. Besides BBE is soo damn easy to get, It wasen't hard at all, only hard part was the bike scene. I would only go for trophies if I deem the game with it to be worth palying again, hell I know I'm going to be playing  MGS4 again, but not for trophies.

No, it's "Tro-Ho", seeing as a "Hoe" is a farming tool.

Also, the BBE is actually relatively easy to get, with the only real serious obstacle being the Act 3 bike chase, which is rather hard unless you've obtained the Solar Gun (also pretty easy to get).

Status: offline 		lol...trophies...the hype for that died pretty quickly. It's not surprising though, seeing as Super Stardust HD is the only thing with them. (Not anymore, but for a long time.)

I would say you're already very late if you've held off MGS4 for trophies. What has been accomplished by most 2+ months ago was needlessly delayed for a lost cause.

I think trophies add to some games. Like Eden getting all the seeds just adds to the challenge of a small game. A game like Resistance it would be good too. Trying to set 6 people on fire at one time to get a trophy would be pretty awesome.
