ORIGINAL: pharmd ORIGINAL: thereapersson Hahah, I only buy CD's and download music through Soulseek (for free). Those albums that I purchase, I replace the downloaded versions with ripped versions @ 192kbps. I don't purchase music through online stores unless that's the only way an artist will supply their music. you sir, are a PIRATE Yeah, and? I OWN over 300 CD's, much more than many people I know can even attest to owning. Downloading music has opened my eyes to many different artists that I would have never given the chance had I not been able to listen to full albums before I purchase them. I'm sorry, but 30 second sound clips don't do it for me. Also, a lot of artists I have on my computer have releases that are out of print, and are therefore extremely expensive to procure. I know it sounds like I'm justifying pirating, but I have my reasons for downloading. It's not like I don't buy music...

I'm waiting for Apple to release an 80GB or 160GB Itouch or Iphone and I would buy it in a heartbeat. Right they cost too much and they don't have enough features/memory for me to convice myself to buy one.

Simplify media makes a free app that allows you to stream your whole library to your iphone/itouch but its best used on the iphone since you can use wifi edge and 3g. The app needs some work but its still pretty cool and works fairly well, though in areas where cell signal is low I dont know how it performs.

I have a record player that has straps on it so I can wear it like a backpack. MP3 players are confusing.

I did have an 80gig Ipod classic but it broke and Apple wanted £90 to fix it so I instead got the Nintendo MP3 player and used SD cards. I have now upgraded to the DSi and use SDHC cards for unlimited storage! and I'm happy with it, it does everything I want. Although the ability to sort by Artist and everything would be nice.

Well, now I use my DSi. The visualisers are ace if you care about them, and being able to mess with the audio in as many ways as you can on the DSi is quite fun. The sound quality itself is pretty awesome too, since it plays the same audio files as iTunes pumps out.

I was surprised by the sound quality as well, with or without earphones it sounds great. What's your favourite visualiser? Mine's the Mario one but the spaceship and the Excitebike ones are cool.

I just use my iPod Touch or my PC to play it out loud whenever I'm at it. I don't tend to sit there looking at the thing I'm listening to my music on, so visualisations aren't really my thing.

Well it's alright if I have my speakers plugged into my DSi to just have the visualiser running(literally with Mario!) or when I'm bored but want to listen to music I can just have the Mario visualiser running and collect some coins. It keeps me awake on long travels as well.

Although on long travels when I'm not driving, I usually always try to fall asleep to speed it up a bit (provided it's an option). Although to be honest I can only see something like that visualisation keeping me amused for so long before I get tired of it.

Well yer, I usually try to break it up between games, music and sleep(I don't drive). I don't like falling asleep whilst I'm listening to music though because it makes me less aware. The visual is just something to look at and do whilst listening to music and it keeps my eyes and mind occupied.
