i've played around and it's not updated for adding sound just yet

edit: i'm going to email her and see when she comes around to coding that in, that or learn Cocoa

hey, i've been communicating with the author of the app and found out it was coded for PPC Macs
here's the updated app for Intel based Macs

EDIT: i've tried the app and it's not working as expected, it won't open .p3t files. i'm working with the author to see if we can get it working. i'll get the source code and muck around with it to get it working and i'll update here, if this thread stays alive.

I just wanted to pop in as say hi, and P3TBuilder is updated with sound support. The last couple of builds were acting up on Intel Macs and reports that P3T files cannot be loaded. Ive released the source also now, so if you have XCode 3.0 on your Mac then you can build it yourself.

You can find it at http://rebytes.vndv.com or http://rebytes.ueuo.com. Hope you guys enjoy it. Theres a bundle of VAG file sound effects also on the site. If you want to create your own sound effects you'll have to use Awave studio (Windows app) since I cannot find info on the VAG fileformat.

If you are serious about this question you are firstly on the wrong thread, but here are the alternatives.

1) Go to www.lili-chan.com/downloads.htm for PS3 Theme Builder (13MB). I tried it. Interface is cr4p and I could not get it to show icons or pictures. I guess the dude wrote it to use DX10 meaning you need DX10 graphics card. This one also dont handle Themes with single channel sound.
2) Go to www.freewebs.com/ps3themecreator for PS3 Theme creator (7.7MB plus 870KB patch). It seems to look better but there is no XMB simulation and Im not sure about sound support (didnt want to waste bandwidth in downloading the app)

But I would suggest get a Mac and use P3TBuilder, this might be biased but, you'll then have superior hardware, os and PS3 theme building tool.

P3TBuilder 3.0 is out. The Snow Leopard bug is fixed and it has some extra features like a background image list to select the backgrounds. It also has the usual XMB icon mode and expanded icon mode which will show all the icons on the screen. The website has changed though. It is maintained by PS3SA, PS3 Lifestyle magazine, http://www.ps3sa.co.za You will need to register, but it is free and easy. You can then also get the free PS3 magazine from the site.
