I was going through some sites, and I found the new things added to Madden for this upcoming season; the one thing that caught my eye, was that the PS3 version was going to be running at 60fps like the 360 version.  This had been a problem, and many PS3 owners I talked to said that they didnt like EA doing a 30fps version of the game for the PS3 again, while 360 gets 60.  I wonder if this was EA's doing, or just avoiding a bunch of angered PS3 owners.. either way, i'm glad its at 60.  It makes the game seem smoother and more fluid, especially in sports games where there is a lot of running and character movements.  Hopefully this Madden is worth buying

I'm very glad Madden will be performing at 60fps on PS3.  That means that I have no incentive to purchase this on 360.  Only reason I might is that most Madden tournaments will be done on 360. So I might just pick it up for that sole reason.

Im still pissed about madden... move the god damn turbo back to x, and strafe back to r1, i want stiff arms back to r2, and l2, and the the side steps back the r1 and l1... that damn r2 turbo is so god damn annoying, i refuse to adapt and want it back the way it was.  Stupid EA trying to conform to the xbox controller.

Hey I like the turbo on the R2 button.  It makes more sense and easier to use!

it does not... BLASPHEMY....

sorry man, when you've been playing the game as long as i have, and have the core buttons moved around, it hits a nerve.  I went apesh!t when they changed the switch player/ turbo buttons on defense to the ones used for offense.  on defense, x used to be change players and o was turbo... but nooooo.. they had to change it.  Also i like the fact that you had to choos the right side to siff arm or juke.  I like the fact that you could switch the ball to the other hand to avoid strips and stiff arm.  Its getting too gimicky now, all this one touch stuff to do different things.  I want my old madden back, back to the ray lewis times, where defense ruled, and strafe (r1) was the button of champions.

ha try playing the Wii version   That'll have you playing like a noob again.  What's wrong with learning how to game all over again.  The entertainment of it all the glory of new difficulties and persuit of grandure.  It's just boring if it's just the same game as last year... why even buy it again you know?

He will come back and get injured.  Or since that he had is all ready retired the curse is still on since he does not play no more.  By the way Brett Farve is the first white NFL player on the cover of madden

I agree with you buddy. But also to note, I felt the exact same way you did about the button layout until I manually changed it back to PS2 controls.  I must say, that EA's button layout is far more intuitive due to the engine of the game.  Hitting X and juking with the shoulder buttons is harder on next gen than current gen.

However, defense is something that's hit or miss. But I consider myself a defensive expert and can shut down the majority of opponents I play with clean, straight defense and great stick skills.

aw man i knew you could change, i just couldnt find it, try as i might, i could never find where to change the button layout.  I think i just gave up when the opening scene would come on, you know wher you have the birds eye of the stadium with music and all that, yeah well when that studdered, i knew this madden wasnt up to par for me, that and the onine was so frustrating, online lag topped with programming lag.. i couldnt handle it.

The new layout are great with all new moves and weapons. Its so much easier to do things like turbo+stiff arm+juke, with the new animations in 2009 the current button mapping makes even more sense.

i hope better tackling animations atleast 150 different tackling animations

better cornerack reaction to the ball

please let us over throw the WR when going deep

WR need push move when running their routes

CB need been press at the line and be more physical

QB need evade more like espn 2k5

Please have more running animations everyone run the same way look gay
T.O and Devin hester running styles look way different

Funny thing is that I figured out how to get an efficient press at the line.  You have to do the delay bump & run.  If you know how to do it then you should use it more often. If not, I can explain in further detail.

No matter what controls it has the game still blows.  The only reason we play it is cause they have a monopoly on this genre.
