Madden 09 is actually SPECTACULAR.

Madden 09 is actually SPECTACULAR. - Aug.-25th-2008 12:08:43

Status: offline 		Yup I said it Madden 09 freaking OWNZ hard. After several years of being mediocore. Madden 09 is freaking AMAZING.

Now don't get me wrong it still has a few minor flaws and bugs. But hey from a Madden standpoint EA really out did themselfs on the 360 version this year.

I think anyone who would say other wise either finds the controls to complicated and has a small tolerence for a slight learning curve.

Man once you learn the controls this game is truly awsome. I'm a defensive beast now. I'm shifting and moving my defenders like a pro now. And i'm shutting people down.

I truly think the graphics are SICK especialy the weather the rain and mud is so great and the players really look like theyare in a mud bowl it's freaking great. And the snow is the best we have seen in a footbal game.

Presentation is way up to par for a Madden game now. Still not the best but for Madden it is much improoved. I'm sold after I had Chris Colonsworth say after i scored a touchdown. And i went in to the blue box and hit Y for my celebration. My player goes and jumps up and scales and hangs on the wall behind the endzone. And Colonsworth proceeds to say man look at him he is all up on the way saying hi to his PEEPS. I was like holy **** that rules. Colonsworth commentary is top notch. Hammands is a little worse but Man Colonsworth makes this game.

After you learn the moves and then get good at them. This game opens up to some realistic footbal. It's a GREAT GAME. I'm back on the Madden train keep up the good work EA. please do not go back to **** next year.

I think what is is EA finaly made the real transition to next gen and PS2 is about ready to take a DIRT NAP.

Yeah and the online play is the most fun ever. And the FG are great you can really make long ones now. I've kicked several long FG to win in online games. like 50 yarders. It's an awsome Madden game.

yeah.. this madden is pretty good.  But I actually feel that they gimped the controls.. made it easier.. its all one button moves now.  I want to pick the side i stiff arm on.. not just one in general, the fact you really had to time your moves, by releasing turbo and pressing the button.  They fix a lot of things though, I really like the gang tackling feature, where you can stop a runners progression, not like the old days where if you tackled from behind... there was no going back.

Yeah i know what you mean i took me a bit to get used to not using the right and left RB-LB for stiff arms. But A is fine now. Becuase i really like the right analog stick as the jukes. Honestly there is still some moves i need to touch on i bet. But i've gotton good at most that i'm playing some dam good footbal now. And i hold my own and win a lot online.

The one thing that can be a bit frustrationg is you can find yourself throwing one to many interceptions. Sometimes it seem a little over done. Other then that this is as a good of a footbal game as there is out today. Looks like 2k5 has finaly been defeated.

Status: offline 		Yes madden is spectacular! I had my doubts cuz Madden 08 was trash. But they stepped it up in 09. I don't have one problem with the game at all, and thats a lot comming from me. The last good Madden they made was 06 so finally they got it right.

Status: offline 		This Madden is a lot better than every previous next-gen version.  I hear what Smokey is saying about the stiff arm, though.  That's my only complaint about this version.  The presentation is off the charts!

Status: offline 		i still like ncaa football 09 better, im gonna rent madden 09, but really i love college football game better, it sometimes balances itself out since u can only keep stars on the field for 4 years max, and thats if they dont get drafted early

Proof of how teams change: North Carolina is ranked #4 in my current season(4th i believe), and they are undefeated. Now i know madden's teams change a bit, but it takes a while, but the salary cap can screw you over too. I like the way you have to recruit and redshirt to keep your team good in ncaa....but if you had to get madden, get ncaa so your rookies are actually good, and higher rated than 70, of course your gonna pay big for them tho

Did you play any of the newer Madden games before?  It has a pretty steep learning curve if you've never played before.
