Status: offline 		I was wondering if anyone here does any Martial Art, or what they think of it/what their favourite Arts are even if they do not practise any themselves. In case you're wondering, belting is completely different where ever you go. For example, red is the highest rank in some arts, and in others, it is intermediate only.

I do the following:
Japanese Goju-ryu (1.5 year experience, halfway to Shodan (record timing))
Brazilian Jujutsu (roughly 8 years experience, unbelted at particular Dojo (goes by exp.))
Eskrima (Philippines) (same as Goju)
Kobudo (Okinawa) (same as Goju)

Other favourites of mine:
Kyokushin kaikan
Savate
Sambo and Systema
Muay Thai
Shaolin Kung Fu
Kendo
Katori Shinto-ryu
etcetera

What kind of Jujutsu? Kano, BJJ or one of the Koryu?

Depending on where you went this either means you did nothing or you did enough to earn a white belt (e.g. taekwondo schools usually start at No belt).

It is awesome (Russian Martial Arts). That's why I love Sambo. I don't think there is a "best" anything, though. If I pick a favourite, BJJ kicks ass. That's why I do it.

Krav Maga is one of the better options for any police/guard type job.

True, so then I see you do a Koryu. That's pretty cool. I chose to do BJJ as I see it as an updated version of Judo which is an updated version and amalgamation of many different Koryu of Jujutsu.

You didn't specify whether you were going to roundhouse kick, punch or block his head (all of which are possible)

That's impossible. Nothing in existence can perform a round house kick, Chuck Norris-style. To try would shatter the bones in your legs. Only Chuck Norris has the invincible bones required for the Chuck Norris Roundhouse Kick of Doom.

edit @ Satanas ;; I would have done BJJ, but the concentration on bringing your opponent to the floor and beat them through locks and whatnot isn't really my thing. Besides, it didn't seem to fit with the "normal" Jujutsu that can prove an invaluable combination with Kendo.

No... Just no... Jack Bauer was captured by the Chinese and imprisoned for however long he was imprisoned for. Chuck Norris would have laughed heartily at the pitiful Chinese forces sent to capture him before using his superior gingerness (and hidden third arm) to kill them all without breaking a sweat. Then, of course, Chuck Norris would go to China and perform enough push-ups to push China into the centre of the Earth...

Status: offline 		Yeah, about the BJJ thing, I actually like excessive grapples and bringing down the opponents, but I have a standing art and two weapon arts down too so it all works together regardless BJJ randori sparring kicks ass though, I enjoy it more than contact sparring in Goju.

regular boxing at a local gym. I grew up in a relatively bad neighborhood so it was a means of getting away from all the bs.
