Ill post another link when the hd one is up.

It looks decent for a video game movie. The bad news for the movie though that it is pg-13

Sweet.

1. I can make a PG-13 movie a hundred times harder then History of Violence. I have a script that is so hard that is like sex in a car wreck, with no nudity, no bad language. I can make a PG13 movie that is unsuitable for people that have a family history of heart disease.

Max Payne is PG-13?

After watching the trailer I was very excited.  I read that it is PG-13 and all the excitement is drained away.

Seriously, anyone who has played Max Payne knows the storyline and what happens, it should instantly be an R-rated flick to do it any real justice.

Well, I guess Hollywood likes making PG-13 movies based on M rated games. (MK movies were effing PG-13!!) and that just SUCKS! (Though that's not the main reason I HATED the MK movies).

The trailer looks decent enough but Mark Wahlberg still doesn't seem Max Payenish enough to me.

I can see Marky Mark pulling off Max Payne well.

You have to think about who plays M rated games though.  They are usually teens well below the age for watching R rated movies.  So they make it PG-13 so the kids who play the M rated games will be able to watch the movies they make off of them

Okay, at the risk of sounding completely crazy.  I could see Keanu Reeves playing Max Payne.  Assuming he learned how to act and not look like he was lost all the time.  For some reason I've always pictured Max Payne as looking like Keanu.

And I think the idea of making the movie PG-13 is that it's a video game movie, so the people at the top, studio execs and what not, assume that since it's based off of video game then it must be targeted for younger audiences and thus mandated it be made PG-13 or it wouldn't be made at all.  If targeted for younger audiences in order to increase their revenue they would obviously need to make it PG-13 so that part of the younger audience doesn't get stopped from seeing it.  Of course if the studio execs weren't stupid and actually did some research, they would find that Max Payne is a mature game played by adults and young adults.  However the core of those young adults played the game when it came out however long ago, making them adults currently.

Ultimately the problem is, the studio is more concerned with making money rather than making the best possible movie, which is a problem with a lot of movies and studios now a days.

I think that this movie can work as a PG-13 flick, however all talk should be suspended regarding Keanu Reeves playing Max Payne this instant!

We already saw him play Max Payne before...a cross between Street Kings and The Matrix.  No thank you...

Rated R movies aren't strictly caused by nudity and language... I have a feeling your movie wouldn't pass as pg-13...

It has a good cast. But the director is so-so. This movie might start a trend of good game movies.

Batman is PG-13

You mean the Dark Knight, right? Well, it's actually an R rated movie trapped in a PG-13 area. Some parents and groups are already angry about its rating and plus, not every director can make a PG-13 movie this good.
I mean, look at Batman Begins, that was also PG-13 and much lighter but you never felt hurt but the childishness of PG-13.

Still, there is hope for this as much as there is hope for that T rated MK.

I have faith, you don't need direct violence to make a great crime drama
