Well, I guess Hollywood likes making PG-13 movies based on M rated games. (MK movies were effing PG-13!!) and that just SUCKS! (Though that's not the main reason I HATED the MK movies). The trailer looks decent enough but Mark Wahlberg still doesn't seem Max Payenish enough to me. Okay, at the risk of sounding completely crazy. I could see Keanu Reeves playing Max Payne. Assuming he learned how to act and not look like he was lost all the time. For some reason I've always pictured Max Payne as looking like Keanu. And I think the idea of making the movie PG-13 is that it's a video game movie, so the people at the top, studio execs and what not, assume that since it's based off of video game then it must be targeted for younger audiences and thus mandated it be made PG-13 or it wouldn't be made at all. If targeted for younger audiences in order to increase their revenue they would obviously need to make it PG-13 so that part of the younger audience doesn't get stopped from seeing it. Of course if the studio execs weren't stupid and actually did some research, they would find that Max Payne is a mature game played by adults and young adults. However the core of those young adults played the game when it came out however long ago, making them adults currently. Ultimately the problem is, the studio is more concerned with making money rather than making the best possible movie, which is a problem with a lot of movies and studios now a days. I think that this movie can work as a PG-13 flick, however all talk should be suspended regarding Keanu Reeves playing Max Payne this instant! We already saw him play Max Payne before...a cross between Street Kings and The Matrix. No thank you...
