So I finished the Metal Gear Solid book written by Raymond Benson. Final verdict? It's a damn good book. It stays true to the story of Part 1, most likely due to the fact that Benson recieved help from Kojima, Payton, and others regarding the story. I didn't know how he was going to pull off certain parts of the game that can only be described as ever changing player methods, (like deciding to shoot Sniper Wolf's dogs before hand, or using the handkerchief to make them leave you alone, etc) but the way it was written allowed for the slight changes made to be more than acceptable. It was definately an even better read considering the voices of all the characters are embedded into my brain, allowing for an immediate connection. Any fan of MGS should pick it up, considering with shipping and tax, it only came to 14 dollars off of amazon for me. Barnes and Nobles is selling it for that much as well. Good stuff.
