So I finished the Metal Gear Solid book written by Raymond Benson. Final verdict?

It's a damn good book. It stays true to the story of Part 1, most likely due to the fact that Benson recieved help from Kojima, Payton, and others regarding the story. I didn't know how he was going to pull off certain parts of the game that can only be described as ever changing player methods, (like deciding to shoot Sniper Wolf's dogs before hand, or using the handkerchief to make them leave you alone, etc) but the way it was written allowed for the slight changes made to be more than acceptable. It was definately an even better read considering the voices of all the characters are embedded into my brain, allowing for an immediate connection. Any fan of MGS should pick it up, considering with shipping and tax, it only came to 14 dollars off of amazon for me. Barnes and Nobles is selling it for that much as well. Good stuff.

hi everyone
excuse me .... i am new user of this site and i don't know english well.
i have a question and may be here is not the place to discuss but as i said i am a new user and i didn't find a better place and whereas you ( wildarmsjecht ) write here that you finished metal gear solid book , i came to ask my question

there is not much time of MGS4 release but i have a question,i hope you guys can answer
i saw in a trailer of MGS4 several month ago , ( the trailer that some sentences were showing on screen during the introduction of game such as THERE IS NO TIME TO RUN and THERE IS NO PLACE TO HIDE. at the end of that trailer some of american soldiers were following a young man who was so look like Solid snake... i wanna know who was that person in fact ?! i hope i wrote my sentences correct

and you honeys got it !

It is indeed a damn good book, whilst reading its so easy to recall the environments snake is infiltrating.
What's more impressive is the description and accuracy of the boss battles.
Can anyone tell me if there is any sequels by raymond benson?

Personally I was debating whether or not I should go out and buy the book. Maybe I will now.

It's just a property of Old Snake's Octocamo, you can actually hear it's activation. You can make him look young (unlockable), but he'll still be "Old".

I honestly don't know, but I believe the book was recently released. It could be that plot itself is years old or that Konami wants to make some easy bucks.

But I would be glad that it is cheap, considering it's a pretty beefy 300+ pages and it's canon.

If you mean of the MGS series, I believe this is his only one so far. The MGS book itself is fairly new, but we can expect more from him later in the future as far as the other MGS sequels go, hopefully.
