So it turns out a woman is writing the story. As well her other writing credentials include Heavenly Sword. Things could get very interesting. That's a huge responsibility to have for a game; writing the core of the game and having many other parts of it hinge from that.

I wonder if the story would be wildly different were it written by a man instead of a woman.

What difference does it make if a man or a women writes the game?  No matter who is writing it, I think this game has potential to be very good.  I will wait to see more gameplay and info before i make my decision on it though.

Well it changes smaller, more subtle elements in the game and story over all. I think men tend to write things more technical and women happen to write from a more emotional stand point. And that can make a difference.

If the trailer is true i think its fair to say this game has close to crysis or killzone graphics level.

And oh the colour!  ive not seen a game with such vibrant colours in ages.

Im definatley adding this to to my track list

I just hope the game is fun to play.  It seems a bit too eclectic for me

The game can look pretty. But the only thing i can see that will not be good for this game will be the controls i have a feeling they will be a little confusing at times. Hopefully i am wrong

read this http://www.n4g.com/NewsPendingCom-167800.aspx?CT=1 it goes over the controls, very simplistic is the aim

I'm actually VERY interested in this game, this has been the first First Person action game I've seen with more focus on action and less on shooting since Breakdown on the original Xbox. That game had its flaws but it was so underrated, I can't wait to see how they pull off the Parkour and how the storyline pans out. Also Gamestop has the sweetest preorder deal so I'm doing it.

I have a felling that the degree of simplicity will not allow for me to express my free desires as much as I would like. For the most part it sounds a little like most of my actions are going to be automated.

A good game with broad action from a few controls is Zone of the Enders 2. Still, I'm looking forward to seeing more of what Mirror's Edge will be able to pull off.

This game has been on my most anticipated list ever since the article from EDGE was posted on Next-gen.biz last year and so far, I've only fallen in love with it even more.

That is true, there were a range of actions one could perform and switch out of by holding the triggers. It's been a while since I've played, but there were some other things I think I got confused over, but they were probably minor.

No...Just...No. Not even close.

Don't get me wrong, the game looks like fun, and it's a cool concept. I'm looking forward to buying it. However, it isn't a graphical powerhouse, especially if you're using the trailer as a means to measure it. Its textures are very simple and low-res, while the game itself seems to have no AA, as there's rough edges everywhere. Yes, it's still in development, and I'm sure it'll come a long way, but the trailer places it about 100 miles away from touching Killzone 2, let alone Crysis.
