Modern Warfare Reflex... huh? - Friday, November 06, 2009 11:34 AM
So, what the hell is going on in activision? The game will be released on tuesday and no official trailer, gameplay nor screenshots have been shown... Only low quality videos showing a supposed spanish guy playing, and I say supposed because when he speaks he doesn't speak spanish!!!

I've found some videos one of them has the best quality:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPan26F_AeE

And this is the first mission off screen:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qy9OH-j-0ug
so what's going on? is this the way activision wants their game to be promoted?

WTF!!!

To embed youtube videos put [tube] at the beginning of the url and [/tube] at the end with no spaces in between. So it would be [tube]hereisyoururl[/tube]

That's why I won't be buying it but the point is Activision expect Wii owners to buy it, and haven't shown them a thing to convince them they should, especially considering Treyarch is doing the port... and it will be used as ammo against the Wii if the game doesn't sell... even though there's very little reason to buy it.

Haha look at all these haters.  Everyone who has heard of CoD already knows this game is coming out so why would Activision waste money on that. It seems like gamers and the media are hyping this up the most, while Activision it trying to bottle the hype and wait till it releases.

Its an ongoing circle, Developers just sh/t on Wii-owners, Wii-owners get pissed, they get poor sales, they cry their game isn't selling, they stop making games for the Wii because they don't believe in the audience, wii-owners feel like there aren't many games, developers make a promise their will be and they sh/t on wii-owners with a 2 year old port or an onrail shooter.

Now tell me something, is this gen wack or just wack?

I've seen the entire SP campaign and a good amount of MP footage already and I can say that it is gonna be a great game. The SP while short still looks like a lot of fun with many epic moments. The MP is a lot of the same but is this necessarily a bad thing? I mean if it aint broke don't fix it. They do add some fun new things to the MP which imo make the game well worth your money like customizable killstreaks, new weapons, new perks, and new maps (16 I believe). I can't wait for this game it is looking like it will take up a good amount of my time just as cod4 did.

Yer, that's pretty much it. Can you believe that THQ was complaining that their policy of making a game and then porting it everywhere isn't working on the Wii?

Saying that though, the state of things seems to be improving. Even with the dreaded Ubisoft, Rabbids Go Home is awesome(but easy) which might have something to do with Michel Ancel being involved... and of course Red Steel 2 looks pretty darn good(although so did the first...). Of course they also did just release Academy of Champions, which is apparently a load of crap.

Yeah I watched parts here and there on Jtv in HQ I think I've seen all the parts. It was like watching a movie which is what IW where aiming for, the whole summer blockbuster thing and they nailed it imo. The only problem is that it is short I'd say 5-7 hours tops. But everyone I saw playing was playing on the easiest difficulty so they were basically just running through the whole thing. It'll take you longer on the harder difficulties maybe 8 hours but that's pushing it.

Both developers and gamers  including journalism ruined it.
The ongoing nonsene about "hardcore" gaming and whatever really brainwashed people.
Developers made to much shovelware on the system and that only left a bad taste.
Now some developers are trying, but due the whole drama with gamers and Nintendo in the past few years its as if there is an obvious line. And it shows with the whole hardcore BS.

Developers promise hardcore games, then come with something you didn't expect at all when they said " hardcore" . Disappointment arises Nintendo gets the blame.
Gamers on the other hand demand hardcore games, but when there is one, no one gives a damn.

To be honest, was Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition ever advertised? It wasn't over here and I didn't even know it existed 'til I actually saw it on the shelf in GAME.

Why? It already looks and plays the exact same as Call of duty 4. 2 years and not a bit of improvement

I remember seeing a few adverts... where it showed the Wiimote use in melee... but I don't think it was very heavily advertised. However, they did actually show what the game looked like before released. That's the issue here, Activision haven't released any screenshots or videos, at all.
