I know that many people here are haters of the wii, but what if Sony or Microsoft created something like it but better? Like the Motus controllers for their system.  I'm saying that if the wii had all the capabilities to make graphics like the other two would you go for it in the future?

I think we'll probably see more motion controls in the future.  Sony is dabbling and can only get better with their motion ways and I'm sure MS has something up their sleeves.  Even if it's not full out on the controler they still have a camera like the Eye Toy which could be used as a mock motion controler.

What I'm hoping for is Sony and MS to have a built in speaker on the controler that feature is pretty slick when used on the Wii Remote.

I'm not sure the 'hardcore' crowd is to inclined with change though so there could be a lost of gaming intrest if motion was indeed a standard.

Yeah I am pretty sure that a different party than M$ or Sony.  Whether it be Nintendo or even a diffrent party from that.  I believe someone is going to take this motion sensing to a new level!

I am not a fan of the motion controls... I would not like it... I think applying it to all the next gens would hurt games...

I think it they did have something like the wiimote I think they should also have to pack in a normal controller...

I feel that there is just to much lather rinse repeat games on the wii and it is because of the controller...

What I would love to see... is a controller like today but larger and in the middle a 16 X 9 size touch screen of the PSP and have that... I think that would push gaming into a new direction think of what you could do with that...

anything from card games to separated exploring...

some of the motion control stuff is fun, and it's great to see what they can do with new tech, but ultimately I want to play a game and not work quite so hard at it.  I am referring to the increasing similitude between gaming and real life, exercise-like activities.

I like what Sony is doing by throwing bits and pieces of motion control in a game like balancing in Uncharted or pulling souls in Folklore.  However I did like being able to turn it off in Heavenly Sword.  Try directing an arrow at someone with the sixaxis kinda made me nauseous.

I liked the motion controls in heavenly sword like the aerial combat. The only thing thats hard to use motion controls in that game was when u were throwing ppls bodies. Shooting arrows and throwing shields was very fun.

I thought I'd bring this up again, since now Microsoft and Sony(rumored) have plans for motion control in games, let's hope that maybe they can add upon more accurate sensors for their systems.

I hope this motion gimmick is a fad because it's getting pretty annoying.

Well, for PS3 and 360 it will be definitly an annoying fad. The thing is that motion sensetive controls for PS3 and 360 is like porting a PSP game to Wii and trying to force motion sensetive controls. That PSP game wasn't made from ground up for Wii and was meant for PSP. In the other hand, a masterpiece like Boom Blox (Yes, it's a masterpiece. Fun, original and unlike most Wii games, exceptionally professional and wellmade) which was made from ground up for Wii.

So, the motion controls on PS3 and 360 will be a disgusting gimmick no matter what IMO. For the Wii, it can be more than a fad or something annoying but then it comes down to games. Game Party and Carnival Games are huge pieces of crap and Wii Fit is crap itself (Sorry, couldn't resist attacking Wii Fit) but then, Zack & Wiki, Metroid Prime 3 and Boom Blox are masterpieces that are meant to be played on Wii and are as great as many motion-sensetive controlsless great games on PS3 and 360.

So in short:

YES To good Wii games that put motion controls in good use
NO To any other Wii game.
Definitly NO to motion controls for PS3 and 360 (Which will suck as hard as Wii Fit).

They do need to work from the ground up when making games with motion controls.
