First!

"another rant about Final Fantasy"

That should become a permanent feature, almost like your two worlds bit did.

Edit:

Damn you -Neon- !

question for ZT.....you said Kung Foo Panda was a great kids game......do you think it will also make a good girlfriend game? Fun and easy so the missus, who isn't a serious gamer, might like? I'm trying to find a game for her that dosen't come on the Wii.

Hey guys, thanks for making my 1hour 45minute drive to work a little more bearable!

I live in Japan and the company I work for gave me a tin-can of a company car, I fitted my PSP with GPS device attached using a sweet piece of software called Maplus2 and so far it hasn't let me down, even with the tiny winding streets of Japan the PSP GPS device has worked flawlessly. I couldn't recommend it enough as a cheap alternative GPS device, which also lets you listen to music, watch movies, play games and search the net!
It's very sweet!

Ticket to Ride board game.
http://www.daysofwonder.com/tickettoride/en/

Its a great board game.  I believe it won board game of the year a few years ago.

I doubt you missed a whole lot because there isn't much to it.
Fun for what it is.

Off-topic now:
Is there a game called Settelers Of Catan on live?
I heard there is.  Its a great board game and I just wanted to know how it played online.

Yes definitely, especially if she enjoyed the movie.  It is a great game for casuals alike.  Hell I just finished my review and this jaded gamer is giving it an 8+ (not sure which point yet) so that should tell you something.

I still can't pick out a couple of the voices, and I'm not positive who among you was talking about Civ Revolution so to Gambus/Killer Wolverine/whoever: I agree, it gets harder and harder to find consecutive hours to sit down and really get into a game. Yet, I'm still disappointed when I hear that players will be able to finish a game of Revolution in 4 hours or so. Do you consider that to be a perk, or a pitfall?

4 hours? I heard even less, all this points to is that game companies see console gamers as less intelligent and less patient gamers then PC gamers. After that demo I reinstalled Civ 4, and god bless it I am on a normal map, playing on Epic speed, and I am 8 hours in and I still haven't found 2 of the other dudes.

Also Cat the people you will hear are

Zero
Gambus
Wombat
Killer Wolverine (or as I like to call him KW)
Brian"the boogyman" Peterson
Prof Chaos

I heard 4 hours.  I know who they all are, I just can't pick out all of their voices yet and I thought the one who said it was Gambus or Killer Wolverine.

Sorry Odion for correcting you...I normally don't I swear (please don't add me to the list)  My name is spelled Brian "The Boogeyman" Peterson.  I'm English, not Irish...sorry Ken.

Actually Cat, that was me who said that it's going to be hard to find enough time to play Civ Rev.  I actually consider it a perk that each game is shorter, just cause it will give me a chance to play the game more.

ah, I totally lose but at least the mystery is solved!

I can see that argument, and I guess the reality is that I, too, will be getting to play Civ more than I normally would on a PC - the demo was just so fun that I couldn't help but want an epic Civ experience!  I'm really pleased with the controls, and am nothing short of dancing around the house each day reminding Adam that he better play whatever games he wants now b/c I own the tv next week!

Yeah the controls are very well implemented.  I was pleasantly surprised.  I never really liked strategy games until recently, so this is the first Civ I've really gotten into.  I can definitely see why fans of the series would want the games to be longer and more complex, but for a series n00b like me it works out pretty perfectly.
