When the 360 came out I bought one on launch day and for awhile I was really happy with it, it really does have alot of good games, games that I honestly miss playing, the problem that I had was I went through 9 different 360's and eventually I just got fed up.(being that I take extreamly good care of my gaming hardware I know that it wasent my fault, hell my Atari still works)

The last one that I bought ended up being right before the Falcon chips came out but I havent heard of alot of people saying they have been more reliable, or unreliable, So my question really ends up being  has anyone had issues with the falcon chips? If so do you think it would be wise to wait for the new chips that are coming in september?

As much as I love my PS3, there are games coming to the 360 that i'm looking forward to, and others that I just find myself wanting to play again.

Just looking for some advice, and thanks in advance for any that is offered.

Do the Arcade ones have the Falcon chip? I recently bought a new 360, 2 months ago I think it was, I've not had a problem with it yet.

Well see thats just it I really don't understand why they kept crapping out 7 were from RRODs and the other three were from Disk Drive issues, I always kept it in an open, clutter free area on my entertainment center, never touched it while it was on, and always kept it horizontal.

I really want to play Fable 2 when it arrives, aswell as Too Human, Infinite Undiscovery, and a few others, I just don't want to buy another paperweight.

My launch Xbox 360 was killed by a faulty disc drive. It's funny, though, I did not understand how can suddenly occurred. Just a day before the incident, everything was fine. I still have not returned the console to Microsoft, because I simply REFUSE to pony up $110 (Can.) in repair costs. I find it absurd. Oh well, things break, I suppose.

Unfortunately, somethings break more often that others...

Anyhow, after the incident I bought an Xbox 360 Elite and I have had no problems with it since. However, who is to say it won't have a faulty disc drive after the one year warranty expires just like my previous console?
