Sonic was god in 2D and IMO, THE best platformer ever. In 3D, he became the EXACT opposite and is the worst now.

I agree you guys Sonic is still amazing in 2d, but 3d its just a mess.

Sonic Rush > NSMB (IMO)

Both games are decent though

EDIT: Dreamcast 2 in 2009 believe.

Don't give Sega ideas. I don't want Samba Smackfest or some crap.

(I'm not ripping on Brawl, just Sega's terrible spin offs, (samba = from samba de amigo)

I don't know, I thought Sonic Adventure 1 for the Dreamcast was a great game. But, it had it's flaws, and all the rest of the 3D games after that were just crap. If they're really interested in advancing the franchise from 2D, they should make it a 2D/3D hybrid, like Bionic Commando: Rearmed, and make it a downloadable PSN/XBLA title or something. If not, just keep it on handhelds.

I actually loved both Sonic Adventures for DC. Maybe I'm the only one.

Sonic sucks now though. The 2D Sonic will always be revered, however.

Yeah the games weren't godly, I just enjoyed playing them at the time of release. Sonic post-DC is pretty much just ****e, though.

Sonic Heroes had some good ideas, and the gameplay was okay, but the script was total cheese, almost painful to listen to... but I think we can all agree that sonic only truly "worked" in 3D in the Sonic Adventure games.

Yes I agree completely. Sonic died a little for me with Sonic Shuffle. It was just a preview of the **** spin offs yet to come.
