Great news for fans of the series. I'm sad to say I'm not a fan. It'll be cool to see a trailer though and if the graphics are nice.

The weird thing is God of War is about a strong an IP as Ratchet and others, I was surprised to learn that the second one only sold 2 million copies, which i thought was a lie considering an utter lie since I thought it sold like over 5 million copies

The second one sold 2million in its first 2 weeks. I think its fair to say, it sold more than that. Still i hope your not basing your numbers on VG charts, because according to them only 0.75mil copies of GOW:COO have been sold, yet this is after the developer stated that it's over 2million

I just hope they can expand it for PS3 and make it something PS3 owners will feel they need to have, as of right now I don't think following the same fomula will produce a hit....

They have to expand and add an online that's a lot of fun to play. They can get away with not having it, but that's not going to help them reach the audience they want to grab. I know they might have thought that God Of War II would have sold more back then...

But if they are going to do really well on PS3, it starts with Online... and there is a great chance to do something no one has seen before..

Like letting you play online with 8 other people and y'all work together to take down a big boss... or you all have to sneak into the base of the other team and take down the leader... Just online games we have not seen before...

Don't get me wrong, keep the battles too, like reg.. Online COD4 style where everyone kill each other, but add new things.

They could really turn this into a system seller if the game is done right, it has a huge potential for online features.

The only way i see online is that, 1 side of 8 will be the Gods, while the other side 32 will be kratos, cod of war, etc...

Maybe you should've taken those rules you posted in my thread and checked them out yourself, you violated all 3 of those rules right there with your pointless post, but let me guess, since your a 'Mod', or whatever your exempted from the rules you strictly want members to follow right?

Now back on topic without that pointless B.S., Sony will have the greatest E3 I think unless Nintendo can wow the crowd with something new, like the new Star Fox game or something....
I'm hoping Sony can do something to pull itself on track...

not every game needs online or co-op. i don't see how they will implement it into a GoW game.
maybe 6 vs 6 tops. but i don't know how much fun it would be since you're only given swords and whatnot.
imagine seeing 12 blades swirling all over the place... it would look sort of messy

I am taking this from that sales of last year thing they released in Jan, God of War 2 sold 2 Million in the first 3 months, and then fell off sharply, it sold 906k in its first month of last year.

aaaaanyway, I'm a fan of the first two. Action button smashers for all time.

The thing that actually made me get a PS3, was the end of GoW2, I put up my hands and proclaimed 'that's it, I'm getting a PS3'
