Yea, so like i thought, Tecmo owns the IP not Msoft so even if MSoft is publishing that doesn't mean the title is on lock forever. Now especially with Itagaki out of the way, it makes it really possible for NG2 to get ported over. Some deals may have been struck that we don't know about but it is not impossible for it to happen since MSoft doesn't own the IP. Bottomline, NG2 coming to PS3 is more optimistic than foolish

Yea but with itagaki out of the way and Tecmo owning the IP and NG already appearing on PS3 i really don't see why not. Won't be like they just came out of no where with NG2 and no NG1.

Why not just buy it on 360. With the conversion process and eveything else you wouldn't see NG2 on PS3 until mid next year. By then it will be old.

I think the Tecmo/Microsoft deal is a lot more than just Itagaki. Itagaki was just the producer, he doesn't run Tecmo.

Actually, i already have...almost traded in GTA for it too but i decided to hold on to it. Just waiting for my cousing to return my 360 which should be tomorrow hopefully

. I am not the kind of gamer who likes to wait. Even if it was confirmed today i would still rent it at the very least. It will probably take me forever to beat...i just don't have time for games like i used to...plus usually i'm just not in the mood.

didn't MS provide the majority of the funding for the development of NG2 anyway?
i don't see it coming to the PS3 any time soon. if ever.
but the chances are an extreme probable.

Theres no need for NG2, we have so many other exclusives that i could careless about NG2, we got BioShock, thats all i care about, i dont need no NG2, Too Human, Halo or alan wake, i bought a ps3 for the exclusives we have, not to look at the xboxs exclusives and want them, because ive tried halo and i couldnt care less for the boring gameplay. It seems Tecmo likes the xbox anyways, so i doubt there will ever be a NGS2 for the ps3.

Maybe you should read the whole post.

If I was head of Tecmo I would port NG2 on PS3 and try make it more smooth and better performence to piss of Itagaki for sueing Tecmo since he hates it so much. Bet he will say "it sucks" still.

When did I ever say MS owned the NG IP? What I am saying is that you don't publish a game if you don't have control of where it goes for a long time. Tecmo gets a ton of pretty profits and never has to deal with the Publishing side of it.

Its like saying Gears is going to be coming to the PS3 because Epic owns the IP.

Face it its not coming.

because many of us have had multiple 360s. break, break, break. on top of that we know the new ms console is going to be announced in 2009 and ship in 2010. that means support for the 360 will drop in typical fashion.

finally like sigma, we know the ps3 will get ng2, with additions and better graphics.

Msoft dropped Xbox support because there was no money to be made in it. As long as the Xbox 360 is profitable, Msoft won't be dropping support.

The xbox got a version of MGS, that didn't qualifie it to get MGS4 after did it?

There is just as much of chance as you guys getting NG2 as MGS4 coming to the 360.

also there is no need for MS to bring out a new console already, this one is about to surpass the original in sales, the price gets closer to that magic number that creates 80% of the sales. Why invest in a new system when you don't have to.
