Let me know what you think of HYBRID - maybe another "community voice" thing on this review? I've got to play and review that one this week.

So far, it's the best damn thing I've played on the iPhone. Easily rivals games like Tales of Eternia for barely a tenth of their price.

Oh yea bought "Tweetie" Luv it.

like the "Nearby" finder is win, its fun reading tweets from people close to you, youd be amazed how many people tweeting within 10k of you like wow!

Oh and u get the option to choose the pic host site, ie Twitpic or yfrog. ( thx Corrupt ^^) , now if it would just add the text to the pics on twitpic...

That Nearby thing is hilariously rubbish for me... Keeps showing me people's tweets from America and stuff.

really? that sucks. works great for me. right down to the 2k.

I use something called Pandora for that. It's also free, and you can choose whether to look at new apps or apps that are on sale as well as separate them so only free ones show up or paid ones. It's how I got this timewaster of an app (it's a complete rip-off of that helicopter game where you hold down the left mouse button to increase height and let go to decrease it) for free when the price was normally 59p/$1. I even, somehow, got another App that's normally £4 for free when the App Store itself showed the price as £4... Must've been a mistake by the developers, not having put the right price on it when I downloaded it.

I'm trying to find one other App though... It's the same as Pandora, but it costs 59p. The reason I want it is because you can select specific Apps and scroll through priceranges... So if, say, an App gets a sale and goes below the price you're willing to pay for it, you'll get a notification.

Whew - awesome. I admit, I was afraid of Zenonia-like controls killing my will to play.

Thankfully, movement is easy and accurate. But you can't move diagonally, which can be annoying... If magic were easier to use, I'd be happy. The story's nothing to write home about yet, but it's done nicely and it's not as lengthy or drawnout as some reviewers have said. Other than that, you're advised to read the Help section before you actually play otherwise you'll be upgrading stuff randomly with no idea what you're actually upgrading.

Just got the new aardvark app. Pretty cool, kind of like cha cha. Just post a question and minutes later another user sends you an answer. It will be even faster when more start using it.

Alright some new games I've tried out.  Castle Warriors is a tower defense type game with Galcon tactics   You have a bunch of castles and the enemy has their castles and you have soldiers in them and you tap which tower you want to have attack the other castle.



Sliding Heroes which is a simple game from SE.  You have a spot where you get your dudes and you tilt your iDevice around to the enemies and take them down.



Elven Chronicles a sorely needed turn based rpg.  Little on the easy side though as you get your hp and mp back after every battle

Kaloki Love is free this week - haven't played it yet but I love the price point. ;)

Dungeon Hunter is back up today, after that horrible game-breaking bug... I picked up Brick Breaker Deluxe 2, Ancient War, Must.Eat.Birds., Castle Warriors and Silent Swords...

I love Castle Warriors, although I've not played it that much... You select a percentage of units within each castle and send them off into other castles... If enemies are already in the castle your units are after, they'll attack until either side is wiped out. Depending on how well you do on each day, you get a certain amount of reinforcements back in your main castle. There's nothing quite like sending hundreds of knights to sweep through the last four or five Castles. My only concern is that it's currently a bit basic... I'd like to see some additional options, units or whatever as I progress.

Silent Swords is an awesome game marred by an initially-seeming pointless control system. Why you need to tap the screen to move, or flick the iDevice to jump, I have no idea. It's more stylish than functional, but it's not hard to get used to. The levels are inventive, the graphics are really something and it seems like a lengthy game considering the price.

And I'm really not interested in Sliding Heroes, to be honest... Looks way too basic and simple. It's about time Squeenix released something meaty on the iPhone, like an actual RPG. Where's Kingdom Hearts Coded, Before Crisis: FFVII and FFIV: The After Years? All three of them would be massive hits on the iPhone...

Yeah Castle Warrior is a good one isn't it!  I heard about Silent Sword but I'm not to sure still might wait for a lite version if they make one.
I wouldn't bother with Sliding Heroes though as your right.  Basic and simple but hey what can you do heh.  I do know they are finally going to bring Song Summoner to the iPhone!  That was SE bringing FF: Tactics to the iPod hopefully it'll get more quests and what-not for the iPhone version.



along with Hills and River Remains which looks pretty neat as well

Canabalt.  Pretty fun and mindless you only have one thing to worry about and that is jumping.  I guess it's a flash game already which I would suggest giving a go as the game is kind of fun.  It's taxed high I would say for the amount of game you get but what can you do

Picked up Beneath a Steel Sky.  It's pretty sweet actually I never played it when it first came out but I can see the appeal to it.  It's a point and click genre with cyberpunk style. 
 
It's a post apocalyptic adventrue which does seem to be all the rage these days but in fairness this did come out in 94 originally. 
 
oh and Minigore (which started this thread!) finally got it's first update.. though I've read it's got a few big glitches on it.  Don't flip the orientation otherwise you'll have to reinstall the game and if you want OpenFaint be sure to select it the first time you see it or you won't see it again.
