Catastrophe

I hope so - moving around was a bear, and combat was just...arg.

I ended up not bothering with Active Skills at all, since pressing those tiny symbols was a bit awkward. Can't count how many times I dashed by accident, either.

As a quick note, Asteroid BBQ is free for a little while. I downloaded it and while it looks nice, it's nothing all that special yet. I'm to understand they're releasing a bunch of updates very soon, though, adding...
  • Larger playing area (twice as big!)
  • Enemy ships that track your every movement
  • Green asteroids that evade your gun fire
  • Shockwave attack that wipes out all enemies on screen
  • Achievements
  • Online leaderboards
  • Upgraded graphics including new ship and lighting effects
  • Improved controls
Which is pretty good, really, for free.

Spider: The Secret of Bryce Manor is amazing.

The gameplay is similar to Pixeljunk but that's not my point. I like the way of telling a story of this game. It's beautiful like flOwer. Once you start a game, you are a witness to a sad story of a family. But that means nothing to you as a spider. A Spider's simple life continues regardless of the sad story of the family...leaving threads in the house...。・ ゚・。* 。 +゚。・.。* ゚ + 。・゚・(ノД`)

Ive been playing civilization revolution non stop for the past week. This is hands down the best game on the app store. Now if we could only get a few more strategy games, like AoE2?? :)

Really? I love Civ - so I credited that deep faithfulness for my persistent affection for this game b/c the controls/zoom make me angry. Like

Original intent was for idevices, but I see no reason we can't expand it.  Maybe Syko wants to talk about the game of tetris on his mobile... ;)

Does anyone else organise their Apps? The four on the very bottom row were shifted around so that I've got the phone, messages, iPod and App Store all accessible quickly and easily. The front page has no games, but mostly the Apps that I use most (TweetDeck, Sky News, Wikipedia, YouTube that sort of stuff) and the two pages after that are filled with games. The last page is always filled with non-game Apps that I don't use (like the clock, the calender, the stocks and the weather) but can't delete 'cause they're pre-installed Apps.

Not a fan of shooeters on the iPhone at all so I'll pass on RE4. Besides I have it on the wii. From playing civ:rev, the iPhone is perfect for turn based strategy games. That and it's practically a perfect port.

My bottom four are phone, mail, safari and tweetie.  Otherwise, all apps are alphabetical.

I have it on the Gamecube, the PS2, the PC, the Wii and the iPhone. I was pretty shocked at how well made the iPhone version is. 12 story missions and 24 Mercenary sidemissions that give you predetermined weapons and tell you to survive a set amount of time. I think there might even be some unlockables after beating the story missions.

But yeah, if you like strategy games you should get Mecho Wars.

I keep my iPhone extremely organized. Since I have roughly 120 apps I pretty much have to. That's a big reason I jailbroke my phone, so I could get the categories app. It let's you create and name as many folders as you want and then you put your apps in those folders. I've got a media, web, games, food and tools folder, with all 120 apps in their respective folders. Well, except for the four at the bottom (phone, text, Oceanus and mBox.

Gah! Cat, this is becoming annoying. I sent three full armies at an enemy city near the beginning of the scenario and couldn't finish them off. Any tips for taking out cities by force? Will I need to rush for riflemen and the like in order to get enough power to wipe out a city? This whole peace thing is a complete drag, most of the time blocking me off of areas of the map with a tonne of units doing absolutely nothing - leaving me sitting there waiting for technology to be researched (another gripe, since I can't always pick the one I want due to it not being on the menu).

And what do spies do, exactly?

If your talkng about civ rev, I usually don't go for the capture victories unless it's a scenario where you have to. Even if that's the case, I'll get a lot of culture going so the people in enemy cities join me on their own. I'll do that while getting my tech up and when I unlock bombers I'll start taking cities over by force. Male sure to combine your armies to make them stronger. As for spies, though I've never used them, I'm pretty sure they destroy city walls, lowering the overall defense of the city's armies. Like I said though, unless you have to, I wouldn't go for the conquest victories. They take too long and are a pain in the ass. Tech and culture victories ftw.

I still have the bottom 4 as the standard Phone, Mail, Safari, and iPod.  First page are my most used utilities like weatherbug, appstore, youtube, What's On, then my second page starts the gaming which is organized by most played or most enjoyed then filters off and the last page are my new releases as they always download on the first free spot

I finally have an app that I can never update as well   That'll be annoying as I do love the upgrade all button.  For some reason Apple has forced all applications that have the Free Memory feature to be taken out  rather unfortunate as it is a cool feature if you ask me.

Samuria: Way of the Warrior

It's pretty slick with the swipe controls as seen in TWEWY and Ninja Gaiden DS.  The graphics have a nice charm to them and it is rather bloody as I have cut a few people in half along with a decapitation or two

Just came out and it's pretty decent.  It won't win any fps awards and is a pretty standard when it comes down to things but for a fps on a mobile phone you can't beat it.
