Just came out and it's pretty decent.  It won't win any fps awards and is a pretty standard when it comes down to things but for a fps on a mobile phone you can't beat it.

I hear it's pretty popular already. I won't be bothering with it, though, since FPS games rarely work well on handhelds.

That Samurai game looks kick-arse, though.

It controls pretty well for a handheld but auto-aim is turned up to the max!  Haven't tried it without the help

Is it just me, or does Dungeon Hunter look insanely badass?



Seems the closest the iPhone has to Diablo yet.

Yes Dungeon Hunter looks like it'll be a fun one.  Though I'm looking forward to Ravensword  (couldn't embed pictures )




but Gameloft is certainly trying to get a game out for all genres in the app store.  They even have a figher coming out: Blades of Fury

Dunno who's more reputable in terms of the App Store - Chillingo or Gameloft. Both are pretty much throwing stuff at the App Store on a weekly basis.

Yeah good point I think Gameloft has a bigger rep right now but on both sides of the fence where half think they are great and half think they just throw up rip offs...

Hybrid was submitted today to the App Store review thingy. Seems it could be out within a few days, a week tops. There's also a really in-depth video of the game. Seems you get a title dependant on your style of play and your skill at that style - they show in the video that the person is a master at defensive play, so they get the aptly named title of Defense Master. Hardly awe-inspiring, but it may affect in-game progression in some way.



Seems you can even email items to friends who also have the game. How badass is that?

I like the look of it   Seems pretty intense though not sure how they were selecting the moves/magic as I just saw the one attack button  though I'm sure they thought of that lol.  Alchemy in the game even making items can be fun and e-mailing them to others is a pretty slick idea.

Hopefully the apple approval system works in their favor... such an oddity that system is right now.

It seems like you assign one magic for each element, each of which is activated by dragging from one specific corner of the screen to the opposite. Seems like a damn fine and simple way to set up combos.

And yeah, it's weird... I can understand that they don't judge the quality of the game, but merely the quality of its production, but it'd be damn nice if those annoying "games" that seem to be ripped from Facebook weren't bogging up the App Store.

I agree on all those fillers that jump onto the store way to often  though that is kind of half the appeal to the store.. an abundant supply of apps for 99 cents.  Though it is getting better with more solid games coming out after all it's just a year old.

I got bored, so I decided to screencapture my Zenonia character's stats.

I'm thinking of picking up another iTunes card this week, since there's a lot of games coming out that I want to grab - Alive 4-ever, Hybrid, Ravensword, Dungeon Hunter and a couple of others I can't think of off the top of my head.

Now this is good news, AppGamer.net has recently reported that Gameloft are porting Earthworm Jim to the iPhone. Seems they're not simply just porting it, however, since the graphics have gotten a massive haul-over. As the article mentions, I'm hoping there's some added accelerometer content (or some new content of somekind). Either way, this'll be an instant buy, since it's obviously going to be £4.

The Blades of Fury game came out.  It's a decent 3D fighting game nothing fancy but pretty good.

Alright so a Genius feature for your apps on iTunes.  A new fps from Gameloft call Nova (very Haloish) Assassins Creed 2, an game like Audiosurf to be released and Madden is coming out today on the app store.

Shame that only 100 or so of them are any good...

Finally they updated the store. Just downloaded the iverse app, a nice little comic viewer where you puchase and view comics from multiple publishers. Right now I'm checking out the surrogates comic based on the upcoming movie. They also have a zombie comic I plan on checking out. :)

Cool I keep looking at that Spider game seems neat.  Hope you like the Samurai game and hopefully those games do come out soon   I'm for sure getting Hybrid
