Isn't this the same developer that made Armored Core?  I thought I read that somewhere?  If so, I hope we can experience the variety of parts and equipment that Armored Core had in Demon Souls.  I felt the customization in that game was subtle but significant.  It wasn't a matter of simply grabbing whatever had the highest stats, many times you could do better with a weapon of low stats if it suited your play style.

Anyways, I like the class update.  Although I have to wonder why they don't just let you build your own character instead of having to choose from 1 of the 10 classes?  Something like fallout were you do have starting stats, but you can pick them yourself?  This doesn't really matter though.

I plan on picking up the game the day of release here in the states ( I really want the art book and soundtrack), been craving a good challange from a game for awhile, and the fact that this is a great rpg is the sweet sweet icing on the cake.

Actually the multiple class is just something to tell you your base stats in the end you can make a magician and make him as strong as a barbarian so yeah it doesn't really matter.

After reading a review and watching some gameplay trailers I am now super excited for this game, shame its not coming to Europe :( Gonna have to import it somehow. Nice thread btw, the videos, classes and images are very informative.

I believe there may be differences between both Asian and North American releases concerning classes. I'm hearing a number of 13 floating around (as opposed to the current 10) as well as the words "Cleric" and "Warrior". I'll add a little note to reflect any potential changes or additions.

I'll be starting with the Knight class for the cool Flute Armor (male only) that's on the cover of the game and so that I can beat the tutorial boss for the extra soul. You can get 2 of Vangard's soul in a single playthrough so I hear.

I selected the Free Super Saver Shipping and it gave me an ETA of the 26 of next month, I was like "WTF?". Screw it, I'll just pay for the Release Day Shipping which is only like $6 USD.

I have to ask Meep, are the delivery ETA's that you receive that much difference from when a game actually arrives?

oh, yeah, they usually say like a week or more, but i've ordered like 10 games off them and it's always arrived in 2 days, the longest was 3 and i even got KZ2 the day of release

yeah, save your $6, Amazon has never failed me in shipping. i'm actually surprised with how fast they ship on the Free Shipping
this is Canada but i'm sure the U.S is the same

are you getting the regular or CE version? i'm getting the CE. 

CE of course. I prefer my guides to be tangible so I won't have to burn more electricity.
