guys I play warcraft 3 a lot and I have played WOW before...can someone explain to me the difference between these games and diablo? I mean what is the game really about? No one is giving me a straight answer >.<

 I only played diablo 2+Lod, i've never played the first one.

In short:
Wow is an mmorpg
Diablo 2 is an action rpg.

Diablo is an action/rpg. The hero of diablo 1 became possessed by diablo. In diablo 2; diablo go on a journey to free his brothers and to get his body back(i cant fully remember the story), he has a human slave with him. You, the hero of the story must stop him. BAM! You defeat diablo and his brothers. Tyrael destroyes the world stone.

Their are 7 classess to choose from, necromancer, assn, barbarian, druid, amazon, paladin, sorcress.

It's an point and click,  fast paced, action game. point, click, point click. Some say it's repetitive, i say it's addictive.

In diablo 2 multiplayer mode, theirs an open server(where you upload your singplayer character online and  get to use hack and such), and closed(where you make a character online and have to play by the rules).

You enter lobby(where you chat with people), find a game, join game, only 8 people get to be in a game.

Theirs ladder, softcore and hardcore.

In diablo 2, you'll be doing boss runs, item hunting, and dueling! It's fun..especially hardcore.

I love Diablo 2! and this is the best announcement ever! i cant wait to play Diablo 3!
 
I love that you can choose ether female or male for each class, i always thought that would be a good idea. The gameplay is looking awesome! i cant wait til it comes out!

* So does anyone have any speculations as to when the release date will be?
* What kind of PC requirements do you think it will  require?

I really am hoping for a 08 release but I think I might be fooling myself
and as for the system specs required I think they wont be insane, But I tell yah: If I have to upgrade I will

Warcraft III is an RTS where you build armies and bases. Diablo is an RPG where you just control your character and gain levels, items, and skills. WoW is more like Diablo in terms of gameplay, only it's set in the Warcraft universe.  The Diablo games have always been about Diablo, The Lord of Terror, and also his brothers Baal, Mephisto, and I'm not sure if there was one more or not.  The first Diablo game was about a gate to Hell opening beneath the town of Tristram. At the end of the first game you beat Diablo and the main character is forced to trap Diablo inside his own body.  The story of the second game revolves around the hero of the first game, who is now controlled by Diablo. To make an even longer story short you end up killing Diablo and all his brothers...the end.

Hi it is me again. Yes I have it and the expansion, started playing the other day. Got a Druid to 11.

Me and my roommate just started playing it again when they announced it. My Hammerdin is level 86.

I love that the skills are on the hotbar now instead of potions.  In Diablo II I usually just picked one skill and used it the whole way through, because switching in battle was always a pain.

From what I understand, you're looking at low spec PCs being able to run it. They did say that they weren't making it optimised for DirectX 10, so that older PCs can play it... I'm guessing somewhere around the region of a 1.5Ghz processor, about the same RAM requirements as Vista (that's 512Mb, for the uninitiated) and about 3 or 4Gb's of HDD space... I'd assume your graphics card won't need to run beyond 400MHz/512Mb VRAM, either.

Do you think i can still play Diablo 3 and like it without  finishing Diablo 1 or 2?
