This is an amazing announcement, PC gaming is back! i'll finally have a reason to upgrade my rig again after all these years

I'm really happy that Blizzard is finally releasing sequels for two of their most precious asset.

I just got home from work, and HOLY ****, this game looks amazing, completely destructible environments, faster combat, and did you see when they went outside. IT WAS A MESH OF 2D HANDART AND 3D!

never played a Diablo before...anyone care to explain what it is and what the main features are?

Blizzard saves PC gaming. With StarCraft 2 and Diablo 3, I finally will be getting a new PC.

Diablo 2 is like 8 years old now, amazing game, the diablo series created the hack and slash genre.

OH AND THERE WILL NOT BE A CONSOLE VERSION

i wonder if it will come under the Games for Windows so it will have achievements, anyway i think ill need to buy diablo 2 to see what all the fuss is about 

I think Blizzard pretty much confirmed Diablo III when they released the patch for Diablo II a while back, I remember when all the starcraft II fuss was about Blizzard released the patch for starcraft that disabled the cd check. Anyway for people wanting a taste of Diablo don't buy the first, all it is is one big dungeon and a small town on top, not fun. Get diablo II that's the one that hooked me. What I want is for Blizzard to create a new IP because all they're doing is just leeching off their 3 series, which is great mind you I love them all (except WOW) but a talented developer like Blizzard would probably create am amazing ip.
P.S whatever happened to Starcraft: Ghost?

Of course it is amazing, all of it. But I don't like the health orbs, I'd rather they stuck with potions. Only 5 classes is pretty limited too but that's Diablo for you.

I think the whole heal orb mechanic was introduced to make the game more action oriented so people will take more risks with he fighting and dont worry as much about the potions specially early in the game, if you ask me they didn't had to make this to make it more action oriented cuz in Diablo you only really worry about not fighting cuz of the low potions early on the game cuz when you get the medium potions and later on with the big ones they can be easily found and are cheap for purchase in large quantities also games like Titan Quest proved you can still be much more action oriented and still have the potion system, I would have liked that maybe this orbs to heal from dead enemies to be maybe an ability from one of the classes (made more sense)
 
I also hope that they did a good job with the new classes since they seem to have kept some old and made some derivation from the old ones for new classes and I fear that they completely replaced the necromancers with the witch doctor since now they are pretty much the same -_- and no Necromancer is gonna make a LOT of people angry

 

guys I play warcraft 3 a lot and I have played WOW before...can someone explain to me the difference between these games and diablo? I mean what is the game really about? No one is giving me a straight answer >.<
