PS3 Home will it ever arrive or... 360 Villa first?

Home is getting more and more a joke when Sony delays it over and over again and even now hit main news saying a 'releasedate doesn't matter' almost saying they'll delay again...

You know what I think? I think Microsoft already have their '360 Villa' (just a little joke to make clear it can be better then Home) working behind doors. As soon as Sony will have a releasedate on Home, MS will hit with 360 Villa and Sony/PS3 will be pwned. I mean its pretty clear. The avatars are already there, there will be games like 1 to 100.

It would be the biggest coup till now if MS just made that and get their version earlier out then Sony. That would be really funny. And I think it'll be that way.

My guess is the open beta will start by the end of the summer. Then by next spring it should be released or even the holiday season

360's thing will probably be out at the same time

I want to see what all the fuss is about - but to be honest, I don't think I would use home much.

It all looks to be a bit of a novelty, I'd join up, have a look arround, see what my mates were doing, design my little house, give someone a thumbs up & then go back to playing actual games.

I'm interested to see the gmaing press's take on home.

Yes. Home IS a stupid idea, I still think about it that way. Heck, I even hate Avatars and I'll probably hate '360 Villa'

But the good thing is:

1. I can use my old dashboard like stuff
2. I don't have to use the avatars, I can still use my gamerpicture
3. I don't care if Home/Villa is stupid. Its funny if MS can get their version out before Sony does.

Really. It isn't that far stretched actually. You see these avatars. You see the games where they will integrate, like 1 to 100. Heck, I'll even dare to say you'll see those 360 avatars jump over some time to your PC, it'll be your 'digital you' on MSN, in a game.

I think Microsoft could improve on something like Home this way:

Home is known as a collection of seperate spaces. When you leave one area, it'll start to load and you'll be 'warped' to the other 'spot'. It's not really one world that connects, its a collection of different rooms or areas if you like. Microsoft could be building a real world. Not just different 'spots'. Heck, they might even rebuild in some way the most well known cities in the world. Paris, London, New York, Barcelona, Amsterdam. But I don't think MS will let us smoke some in Amsterdam or will be able to visit the red light district :P
