ok how hard is it to put linux on the ps3 ?
what are the pros and cons ?

Pros:
Linux. XD

Cons:
-It can't use the hardware to the max.

If you don't know much about linux its best you learn about it first =)

theres a online manual for putting linux on ps3 and i recommend ubuntu

You can use the internet browser to read text files which are on the internet if that helps. (Although not confirmed myself, the PSP can do this)
