Hi, does anybody have any experience with waranty claim regarding too noisy PS3 ventilator ?
Mine starts to hoover always after 5-10 minutes of PS3 operation.
From my point of view it´s not acceptable level of noise :-( Any watching movies impossible...

Many thanks for an advice, I´m going to claim my black sweatheart.....:-(

My 360 sounds worse........a lot worse.
Maybe try unblocking the vents.

Mine started getting loud after around 8 months. Probably just dust on the fans. A good shot with a can of air should take care of it for a while.

Is it a 40gb ? If it is: turn ps3 off by switch, hold finger on eject button, turn ps3 back on with switch. The fans will start getting louder and louder and then calm down. It helps get rid of dust and tests the fans. Or you could use a vaccum cleaner on a low setting to get rid of dust and see if that helps your fans.

yes, I already tried all those attempts ( "fan test, vacuum cleaning.. ). Console is 40 GB version, only 4 month old ...
Even there are quite hot days here now ( I´m from central Europe ), I think PS3 should operate normaly ! Moreover, yesterday I got up earlier when there was only about 15°C outside and.....fan reliably started to cool down using it´s force unleashed after 10 minutes of playing.

I´m desperate....
