N4G has been plagued by Vgcrap's Fake numbers which are posted every week by the THESOURCE (from vgchartz) aka Cyrus.

Here is a comparison between the 2 sets of numbers. Typical VGCRAP reports NA sales which account for US,Canadian and Latin American console sales.Typically Canada represents 10-11% of US sales.

VGCRAP numbers for JUNE in North America (includes US, Canada and Latin America)

Plat USA Est
Wii: 720,000
PS3: 332,000
360: 262,000
PSP: 300,000
DSL: 755,000
PS2: 147,000

Actual numbers from NPD for June ( US + estimated numbers for Canada)
PS3:405,000 + 45000 ( 450,000).....Vgcrap has downgraded sales by 120k
x360: 219,000+ 22000 (241,000) ....Vgcrap has inflated sales by 21k
Wii:666,000+67000 (731,000)
PSP: 337,000 + 33,000 (367000)....Vgcrap has downgraded PSP sales by 67k

Although NPD doesnt track PS2 sales VGCRAP's guesstimates come up with bizarre numbers every week. VGCRAP is a website operated by just a single guy named ioi --a person who was banned from neogaf forums.

Vgchartz's numbers are banned from almost all major gaming websites and forums including Neogaf, Gametrailer forums, Gamespot forums, ign forums and forum italia

Please ban VGCHARTZ and CYRUS aka (the source from Vgchartz)

They might be very unreliable, but they boost the mainsite hits.... So I don't think they're going to ban them.

Besides, they don't harm anyone. If you can't stand them, don't watch them.

just one instance

They either inflate sales/downgrade sales.

their numbers were always CRAP

N4G is the no1 gaming forum in the world

VGCRAP's articles never reach 200 degree or more

so definitely banning VG wont have any impact

Vgchartz numbers are just guesstimates

It is operated by just 3 guys --one being Cyrus aka Sonarus aka THE SOURCE , ioi and Jacob mazel. these are educated kids who live in birmingham

I don't mind them, if I notice them I'll pop in every few months to see that PS3 is still on top.

Of course, I don't care either way, I'll just visit the site myself if I start missing them. It's not like I don't know where to find them.

Like i said no one will report it since everyone except u want VG to be gone from N4G
