What is the point of posting mobile, industry news, developer news, DS... etc. It just sits in pending for like 10 hours? I don't know if anybody has noticed, but TnS really isn't posting news that much anymore. He was one of the few that actually took the time to make sure stories were edited correctly and approved stories for 'All' the channels.

Just look in pending at any given time. Stories just sit there until the next day until the administrators are on. I know people see them. I guess from now on it is best to post only PS3 news and flamebait. Agreed?

I approve nearly anything (as long as it's following guidelines). I haven't done much recently as I've been busy with University work.

Bloodmask, us vintage people are slowly going, i have stoped contributing, i know a few others that have stoped and your right, the site has been over run by loads of people just approving flamebait stuff, we are a dying breed on n4g, god knows who will take over our postions and how it will turn out

You shouldn't stop posting. That just makes "them win". You shoudl work together with the "vintage people" to get the quality back. A website is only as strong as it's contributers

Also, because TnS reached Super Contributor status, his goal has been completed. I can't speak on his behalf, but I'm guessing he wants to rest now.

Time to make a new site where moderators actually have power and can control the content on the main site :D

Fanboys and censorship are killing what this site stands for.

Totally agree, you guys were here a fair bit before I joined and I too strive to approve stories and highlight articles that do not follow the guidelines, but recently I have become a bit more jaded witht he entire thing: contributors not correcting errors, yet they still get approved. That and the constant barrage of flamebait from the idiot fanboys. It has gotten progressively worse as the months have went on.

I've taken a few weeks off from the approving stuff and I dunno if I will come back or no either.

I agree, i used to have fun finding stories, i know i am not a great contributor, but there was a time when i did sit a lot of time, reporting, submitting, learning, etc...now the fanboy stuff (that i still don't understand) is out of hand, the report secction is a war, with people insulting people, the people says "duplicate" when they don't like something. That is why i stopped submitting, not to mention the approval of empty forum posts, fishy "news" from made up sources, etc ...

How about some bans for the people who have a
proven record of wrong reporting.Lately,i'm seeing
a lot of 'duplicate story' reports without the link
to the actual original story.

Or disable their their ability to submit news for a certain period.
