I've been anti-PC gaming for a few years now, but recently got the itch to build a new rig again .  I'd have preferred to wait a bit to see what happens with the Intel Core i chips, Windows 7 and DX11 GPU's - but the laptop I use every day has started to overheat, so I thought what the hell - let's get me some PC gaming goodness!

Some of the bits - like the PSU are hugely overkill for the rig, but I got a sweet deal on that PSU, and it leaves me headroom to add another couple of GPU's in the future.

If anyone is interested in a step by step guide on building a rig, I'd be happy to photo my build and stick it on a Google site or something.

The 8800gts 512 is a 9800gtx with slightly slower memory this system scores me 16,265 on mark06 with a single GPU and runs crysis maxed out without shudder very smooth. http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=11353956
I didnt have to break the bank either I have built 12 similar machines for friends co-workers but with 4 gigs of ram and a 9800gtx Most of them score 16,800to17,000 on mark06 and got thier whole setup for under $700 I love the price wars right now;}
