For WoW? Over kill... my old P3 machine with a 128MB GPU and maybe 1GB RAM handle wow fine.

Really...?

Your computer is good by the way. Minus the last two things.

10gb of ram
i7 oc 3.5ghz
antec 1200
dark knight cpu cooler
5870 gpu
kingwin 1000w psu
p6t motherboard

This is a severe waste of money if you only play WoW. I do like the 5870 though, but you need to play real games on it. I wouldn't even think about one until something worth it like Crysis 2 came out, but I'm happy with my 4870 OC anyway.

that's not modest a 3.2 dual and a 9800gt are good specs, but you can't possibly have dx8.1, every dx9 game automatically updates your dx version to dx9, also that card is a dx10 card

are even windows takes up more than 10gb, did you mean 100?

dc,actually went and got that 5870 lol i know i said i would wait but with dragon age origins coming up just wanted to play it at full settings hopefully. and just didn't think that 9500gt would do it. anyways i could always get a better gpu later on but this one will do for now i guess.

hey that's cool, no need for a 'better gpu' that card is the best single gpu money can buy right now, and with dx11 support it should last a few years....i almost bought one myself the other day out of impatience....but then i realised i needed a new psu ( which was $229)

this is the one i'm getting,

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139011

for the 1000watt version ( which has all the same connectors and everything, just 150watt more it cost 50% more ($329aus) :O

I love newegg.  I try to buy from there when I can.  Or I just hit ebay up.  Most of my HDD's I get from newegg.  I just bought Mirrors Edge off of newegg for 9.99 and free shipping.

I just like games.  Couldn't care less about the platform.

i7 920 at 3.5ghz sounds good to me.  I always thought that is a good speed for a processor.  If a game needs to be played by a faster processor to get good framerates then that game just wasn't optimized well IMHO.

I just like games.  Couldn't care less about the platform.
