I've been considering upgrading some of the parts. The motherboard to support SLI, a better processor, and add on another 8800 GTX

You got the best processor and good enough ram, I suggest getting a new graphics card to replace that X1550. Get a Geforce 8800 as its the best graphics card out there.

Yeah i've been looking at a newer / better vid card. Just gotta convince the wife ;)

As i said, i was being lazy ;) Its easier to get the wife to agree to one big purchase than lots of meidum ones.

Core 2 Duo E6700, 2 Gigs RAM, 8800 GTX.

Waiting to upgrade to the next Nvidia cards in Nov. The 8800 GTX totally pwns DX9 but still struggle with DX10 games.

When me & my mate was putting it all together he said  the system was a bit overkill, i told him crap & to get over it, lol,  but said nothing while he was playing bioshock & world of confict on my system, so much for his overkill statment, lol. So guys what ya think was my mate correct...
