The BFG 8800 GTX superclockeds are awesome cards.

The 512 GTS superclockeds are actually the best. Is that the kind you have? The 640/320 versions are significantly...less good.

It should, actually. The graphics card is the best one in the world. And I'm only running in 1680x1050. I can put AA down, it doesn't need to be full.

1600CAD. Not a bad price, for a laptop.

Though, I do not like the idea of gaming laptops -- personally.

yea i got it for $1600 Canadian from Future Shop. The reason i went for a laptop over a desktop was because i'm going away to university in a year and this way i can game on my computer and take it to class with me.

That's a good reason then. Personally, I'd go for a cheaper dual-core laptop minus a good graphics card, and just a kickass desktop, but I'm sure your setup works best for you.

Good enough reasons for getting one, I s'pose. Laptops generally aren't good gaming machines, yet they're far more versatile than desktops. I move around too much for a desktop - I could never imagine sitting on a chair for hours without end on MSN and here. So I wander around the place with my laptop, so I can chat while cooking or whatever. :D

The UK is such a total rip off...
