Well, since the Deep Throat thread was locked as i was typing my message(who knows why), i'll post it here and then continue:

For Deep thought, in response to SCG, who says she never paid for her systems, which might be why she isnt a "fanboy cult member":

oooo...same here, i got my super nintendo as a random gift.

I got my GB Pocket for Christmas.

I "acquired" I think 5 GB Colors.

I got 2 PS1s for Christmas, which i believe started the trend of sony products for me) although i asked for nintendo 64.

I got a GBA for my birthday, with no games so i was still stretchin the screen for GBC games-until i got pokemon ruby which would be my last GBA game and last pokemon game

I got a ps2 for christmas, which i had to beg for.

I got a DS in the lost in found at school after the school year was over, which i sold due to the fact that there was no cord to charge it with.

Now to the one thing i actually paid for, my first of 3 PSPs.

Finally, on my graduation day, I received my PS3, from one of my friend's mother.

Now for my post on the gaming industry:

And here i am now, i do tend to prefer sony, but i hate the way all 3 companies promote themselves:

Sony builds up hype, then sometimes doesn't live up to it, then they keep stuff from you when it wouldn't hurt to give us an idea at least, *cough*Home*cough*

Microsoft talks about stats all the time, they only care about stats, and are willing to pay for first place. Also, they like to overhype stuff, *cough*Halo*cough*

Nintendo prided its self on selling stuff that everyone can pick up and play.  Casual sells your systems, but what about the real gamers out there?  They are treated to all these crappy spin offs and according to the ratings charts for all the systems, the wii had the lowest average for all their games.  AND, when u know u have a good system, why would you not want to sell it???  The Wii will probably be in drought until the next nintendo console is released.  And nintendo has been milking the same characters forever, each one of them has to have at least 30 games under their name...except maybe link

Sony likes to talk about games 3 years before it'll come out

MS likes to say how much better they are

Nintendo likes to keep everyone in the dark

Those are my problems with the big three if that's what this thread is about

Halo is amazing, your opinion doesn't mean it wasn't deservering of the hype. I also like a company that will pay for first place.

ROFL 1/2 of what she says are lies and the other half are untrue.

Sony has great products but the worst PR. Microsoft products are garbage but they market them well. Nintendo brings a sword to a gunfight time and time again. This time so far it paid off.

I like to leave the console wars to the company themselves. All the hype is entirely up to the gamer, whether they'll buy the hype or not. Hype in anything is mainly what media is all about.
