Status: offline 		Japan is a crumbling market for consoles anyways. They are focused on handhelds. That is why Japanese developers such as Square-Enix are trying to branch out more into the Western market. I also notice that Atlus is releasing a lot of titles for 360.

Status: offline 		japan is a weird market; they fluctuate.  I do believe the ps3 will get a huge boost whenever ffxiii and versus is released.  It'll sell the most of any consoles (including handhelds) and maintain that momentum for a while.  That's why it was important for sony to keep ffxiii exclusivity in japan.  It's the only market that ff would drive sales completely out of the roof. 

After Tales, and other stuff dies down, Japan will go back to buying their psp's, ds', and weird games until FF.
