Ratchet & Clank:A.C.I.T. Review Score - Thursday, October 08, 2009 6:41 AM
I just bought the Australian PSM3 mag. today and they had a review score for the new Ratchet game in there.   Suffice to say after already ordering Borderlands and Brutal Legend from Playasia, as well as having Unchartered 2, MW2, Tekken 6 amongst others to buy.....I was actually pissed and happy that it scored a great 90% from said mag.  The same mag also gave U2 a 95%.

As Ratchet is my favorite platformer since PS2 days...it looks like my wallet will only be fat due to game receipts.

Well of course R&C would score a 90 Insomniac would have to have lost their talent for platformers for it not to be awesome. Ratchet & Clank my second favorite platformer next to J&D of course.

I liked the 1st Jak.  But ND seemed to try to mimic Ratchet by adding weapons to Jak 2, as well as GTA3 open world.   The 1st Jak was my favorite platformer, along with Ratchet 1 & 2.

The guns in Jak 2 just felt like an after thought tacked on to keep up with the Jone's.  Jak did not have the right controls or camera angles to compliment this type of action, whereas Ratchet was built as a shooter/platformer from day one, game one.

Anyhow, thought I'd share the 1st deserved high score for Insomniacs new game...I hope it keeps going through to the bigger sights, as Gamespot's criminally low 7.5 score for R&C:TOD should not happen again.

I liked Jak 3 Best the nice twist near the end was heart warming and the big twist at the end was funny.

And that is why at times I question Gamespot I mean since when was too much variety a bad thing.

I was a huge Ratchet and Clank fan from the beginning with number 1 but I thought that Tools of Destruction was so bad. My score of the game would have been a 7.0 it had absolutely no humor. So I hope this new one redeems itself to me, I heard it was very funny from TheFullMoon Show.

You must have a differnet sense of humour. I know i laughed many times during my playthrough of Tool of Destruction.

The Ratchets on the PS2 were much better, they just had more variation of gameplay and they even had online multiplayer (ps2 online, lol), i think the next R&C will be the best though with customisable weapons and the fly around space thing

Eh, the humor in TOD wasn't as good as the PS2 Ratchets, and neither was the gameplay.  Luckily, it looks like the next entry in my favorite game series is going to be amazing, from what I can tell.
