Orginally it got reported because the scan source was too "small" (didn't know there was an issue about that if there's news that could be gleamed from it).

Anyway, later that day I put up the full version of the scan. But it never was approved and got failed.

The article is presenting a different set of system requirements for Modern Warfare 2 released by Infinity Ward today. They actually vary from what was posted in the purported duplicate, which cited system requirements listed on Gamestop.

A legit news item and an editorial that I would like re-submitted and/or approved, neither have anything to do with the PS3 or whether Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 farted or not. Just a couple of regular old standard publishings that I'm sure would be of interest to some who occupy the site if they ever made it out of pending. Thanks.

These were failed by a Mod, I don't understand why as similar stories I've submitted have been approved with no issues before, is there some sort of judgement call system that I'm not aware of? I'm following guidelines, yet my stories keep getting failed by mods or just never get approvals. I've never received any explanation on why mods feel compelled to fail my submissions so frequently. One of the site's I submit for (Examiner) has had plenty of issues with this site, but I won't accept that as a reason for the treatment since Examiner writers are now included in the top 25 N4G contributors. For example MattyF and SpaceSquirrel who both write for Examiner and often post more provocative and/or controversial items then myself, get almost every item they submit approved.

Getting the articles I submit approved is really important to me, and when I don't think I've done anything wrong it's upsetting to have to deal with the perceived attitude of 'don't approve unless absolutely necessary' my articles consistently endure from both contributors and admins. While I understand I can't do much about contributors, I can use (and have used) this forum to express my issues and concerns to those who run the site, but since I have to defend myself regularly I believe I'm looked upon as someone who either complains a lot or as a troublemaker.

At this point, I can only hope that someone has taken the time to read what I've written and consider the points I've made. All I'm asking for is fair/equal treatment to contributors who are in accordance with the guidelines and the due diligence of those in charge to ensure there's as little bias as possible. It's the legitimacy of the news that should matter most, and currently that's not what I think it's about with those who determine what happens to my submissions.

The continuing issue of trying to get things approved at the weekend:

http://www.n4g.com/NewsPending-416463.aspx

Can't someone be given moderator rights for just weekends and holidays?

Kincaid, as my managing score my indicate there is not shortage of Admin approval or involvement (please also refer to JamieSI's and Columbo's). We are all around on weekend's. There is a high volume of submissions, and humans can only do so much while attending to other member needs - which are more pressing as the approval process is designed to member driven.

All those in this thread invested in moving their submissions through pending will want to take an interest in actively approving pending submissions. For example, my average typically works out to 150+ submissions approved a day. Yours is 8/day. Cupogoodness is around 7/day. GamingDead is at .4/day.

Also as a heads up to every I will have to be "out of office" tomorrow, Tuesday, and Thursday through Monday, so please talk to Columbo for pending needs and Jamie or Dusty for failed submissions woes.

Hasn't even been up a day, how does it fail approval? Lame reports don't do it.

I don't think of it has a duplicate story. As the original story here doesn't even hint at a trophy list, therefore people are going to over look it. So by having a separate article showcasing the trophy lists, people will actually view them and appreciate them.

Since Blu-ray is tech related, why can't Blu-ray reviews be posted here?

The God of War story is a duplicate.  The PS Blog story even mentions trophies in the title, as well as in the summary.

Also, this is a game site, not a movie one.  Just because something is on the Blu-Ray format, doesn't mean it should be posted on this site.  Only things directly related to gaming.  If the movie is related to a game, then maybe it would be acceptable, dependent on member interest and approvals.

Via cat's rules, as I just PM'd you, Blu-ray news like releases are allowed to be submitted via the Tech option only. That is precisely what I'm doing. I've also had lots of people show interest in news about new releases on blu-ray because the technical aspects of each movie are different including video and audio codecs, and then the different features of each including BD-Live, etc.

Also, just my point of view, is that yes this is News 4 Gamers, but Gamers want news about Blu-ray's as well, it is a technology that is fairly still new.

Do with it what you please, I'm just trying to find different websites and information to share with people, since everyone always post articles up before i ever read them, just trying to contribute.

I don't think that was given a fair look. A perfectly fine article talking about some playstation problems from a playstation site. But apparently that's too much? Anyway I think it should be brought back up.

I think this story should have passed: http://www.n4g.com/NewsPending-419375.aspx

The one "legit" report it did receive was unfounded as one of the biggest complaints about Microsoft Points is that people think they mask the true cost of items on the marketplace. If they claim that it's masking their true cost, then how can this person also say that they can just convert the cost in their heads? It doesn't make sense...
