First of all, I don't know if a story like this would be allowed, but I know for a fact the contributer should have listened to the reports.  After multiple Bad Editing reports, he still did not change the story description and did not change it from News to Article (it certainly isn't news).  I have said this before, but perhaps the rules need to be written out and posted above the pending section so everybody sees them before approving an article (or even submitting one).

Blu-ray tech/industry news is one thing, but posting new releases? Why not blu-ray reviews or previews, or even dvd releases, I think the line has to be drawn somewhere.

How many of these videos do we see on the site a week?
It's getting ridiculous because it's obvious it'll pass approval and even more obvious it'll heat up in mins.
It's free and easy points for a spam submission.
It basically says we can pull videos of girls in their skimpy' playing games from youtube, submit it here and it's no problem.
It's unfair.

Should these (crysis) texture mod stories really be news?  I would think only details that come from the dev team would be news.  There are tons of mods out there for tons of games, should all of them become news stories?  In my opinion, this should be taken down.

I definitely think it's news. I find them all interesting and love looking at what people are doing. Not every story should be about the big budget consoles.

That's why ModDB is such a popular site.

Well ok then.  I was just wondering because there was another Crysis texture mod story approved less than a day ago. And I don't see a big difference between the articles (except for the pics used, but they could have been included in the same article).

In that case, contact the editor and suggest it :P

Some people are lazy though and just create bits rather than just a roundup of mods.
