It should be made compulsory to provide a link when reporting duplicates.

I am trying to more closely moderate pending and the reports section. Reports of "duplicate" without a link should be ignored and the reporting party will be reminded to provide a link. Similarly members who report "bad editing" without giving the contributor a heads up as to what needs fixing will be warned.

problem is when i was contributing people woild just put dupe report without link and as usual the sheep would just follow and get failed because 5 people reported dupe with no link, reporting a story dupe is the fastest way in failing a story, this needs to be addressed

I agree. In the meantime (while the Admins determine if there is viable solution) I am endeavoring to more closely monitor the pending section for these types of problems. Obviously, if it's your own story and it's getting blanketed with unfounded reports a PM is the fastest resolution.
