Status: online 		After seeing the new Gears footage, its really really really hard not to be impressed by it. Even if the visuals are only marginally better, Gears 2 looks like its bringing everything Gears 1 brought and then some. Non stop action.

Last time R1 and Gears faced off, Gears easily finished off R1 mostly due to the Huge graphical advantage of gears 1. Insomniac gave some excuses about texture streaming and bla bla bla.

November, they will be squaring off again. We still haven't seen R2 gameplay videos but R2 better bring the hear on June 13th because Gears is looking ready to sweep R2 once again. Resistance is going to need to pull every ounce of muscle out of the PS3 in a couple of months. Anyway can't wait till november. More excellent gaming before the holidays

gears 3rd person shooter
resistance 1st person shooter

xbox got a bigger fan base then ps3 so gears 2 will sell more the resistance 2

so we really can say r2 vs gears 2 when they really to different games two different style of play as well

@breakfast Halo 3...more like gaylo 3 shieet

R2 is going against gears even though it should really be going against halo but based on time of release, its gears

Status: offline 		Why are people so hyped for Resistance?? I dont get it....i enjoyed the single player...but, it was nowhere close to being as fun as Gears. Graphics...is only a minor part of what im saying.

I can see why people are hyped for Killzone...but Resistance, come on...we know nothing about the game except the increase in numbers.

R1 was a decent shooter no where near as fun as gears. I will be picking up both but overall the question is can R1 provide more fun than Gears. If it can, it will most likely be in the multiplayer. Played R1 MP twice before i gave up on it about the same amount of time i put into gears MP. Will be giving both a longer shot this time

My faith in this game is mostly due to insomniac track record on making a good game.

Status: offline 		Well both game share some similarities in that you're trying to save the planet from a massive invading force and both sequel seem to have turned the epicness to level 12.

Other than that I couldn't not care less about comparison maybe if I was a bigger shooter fan I would have a un-bendable game boner until their respective release.

But anyway back to the topic, will be good times reading peoples comments about the two. I think Gears of War 2 will end up being better, how can it not with Cliffy being there?

Yeah it was near the very end. Didn't feel epic at all to me though, Halo has failed to deliver since the first.
